Arrival Story: One weekend, at the end of April 2005, my sister and I arrived home to find Arlene dancing like crazy. Before we left, she was round and now she was slim again. I threw down my bags and followed her to the corner of the house where there were two crying kittens. An orange one and a peach one. Sadly, a few hours later, the peach kitten didn't make. We did what we could for her, but it wasn't enough. Thankfully, the orange kitten was wild and every where, even before he opened his eyes. We soon moved them to the patio because of raccoons. We couldn't tell if he was a boy or a girl, so we decided to call him Luca. Pretty soon, he got fleas from Arlene and we had to wash him in the sink. He would always try to climb out using my arms... it hurt. And he would cry very loudly. I will always remember hearing Arlene crying back to him from outside the front door. Until he was about 5 months, we knew Luca was boy! He was good boy, too, staying close to home and staying close with Arlene, Garfield or Simba. In 2006, we moved. Devistatingly, Arlene was hit by a car early morning on April 19, 2006. She was just about due with more of Garfield's kittens and her son's birthday was in 10 days. We had all boys left and it wasn't the same without her. In about a month, Garfield disappeared on May 9, 2006. But Luca and Simba were the greatest boys, staying close to home and being extra careful. Luca has grown so much and reminds me all time of Arlene and Garfield. He's a very good boy and makes me so proud... He's my fuzz face baby.

Bio: Luca is everything like his mommy and daddy. He has both of their personalities and looks. He surprised me how he meows just like his mommy and has the girly tone of his daddy. I know Arlene and Garfield are still alive together in their little boy... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HONORABLE DAYS Daily Diary Pick: 7/26/06, 9/11/06, 2/24/07, 5/3/07, 10/27/07 Groups: COTW in Tennessee Kitties: 8/27/07

Simba and I were taken to the vet yesterday for our annual checkups. Simba chatted a bit in the car but once we got inside the vet, I was the one who decided to talk for awhile.
After awhile, we went to the back and Dr. Myers checked me over first. He said I was in tip-top condition. And said I was muscular. Yeah, I like to keep in shape and good looking for the ladies. Heehee. Nah, it's all the squirrels and birds I love to chase after. I chase those squirrels back up their trees. Good thing I know how to get myself back down.
Simba has a wound near his tail and they gave him some antibiotics. And the same pink liquid medicine I had to take a few months ago. Other than that, Simba is in good shape, too. Not a bad vet visit.

My new little sis Sicily is fun to play with! We're getting along much better. We like to pounce out at one another and maybe a few smacks in mid-air and then run after each other. It's fun!
Sicily and Simba are still trying to get along. They're comfortable with one another, it's just close contact. Simba doesn't like anyone in his bubble.
Earlier, mommy threw pieces of oranges into the yard. (Sicily wrote about this in her diary entry). Well, Sicily jumped down and started to chase the pieces mommy was throwing and I ran down to the lower ledge and watched them roll on the ground. I almost went to join in the fun with her, but I didn't. Maybe next time!
Anyways, mommy is wanting to get a video of Sicily and I playing. She thinks we're so cute... MOL. I'm sure there will be one soon, too. We love to play!

I've been a good boy lately, eating my medicine and coming home when called. Simba and I have been sleeping in the basement every night and we're such good boys. Plus it's cozy down there. Mommy has been giving us tuna, too! And it's delicious!
Mommy is supposed to be breaking my scab but she's not quite sure where the edge of it is and she's afraid of hurting me. She's wiping my boo-boo area with Hydrogen-peroxide. And it doesn't look like a good boo-boo so she'll be bugging with it later when we're called in. I don't like it when she messes around with it!
She's praying for me everyday that I won't get Leukemia or FIV. It's still tough on her to think about, but we're doing good. Please keep me in your purrs and prayers!
