Life With Joy

April - 2007 The Mountains

Dad and Mom, Took Jay Jay and I to the mountains to the camper this past weekend and boy was it fun. Our favorite perches were still there. We have this fantastic bunk bed that has an awesome view of the road and the trees where we can lay and watch everything going on, plus they put up some food for the birds in a tree we can watch from the sofa back and the birds can't see us but we sure can see them. Boy is Mom and Dad's bed comfortable up there. They open the windows and the breeze comes through Jay is too busy sleeping. I fell behind the sofa and got trapped under the couch so Dad had to rescue me - Boy is was that scary. Daddy always rescues me when I get in trouble. He is so big and strong yet so gentle with me. I just love him. He loves to tickle my belly. Oh, did I tell you Mom lets us put our front paws on the table and gives us our treats there and we get them a lot more often than at home. She says it because we are on vacation.

All in all it was a fabulous time, even the traveling. I just lay down and go to sleep in the back seat or crawl up on Daddy's leg and fall asleep. I don't care the sound of the engine is comforting to me. Boy I'll tell you one thing Jay Jay is a nervous wreck. He yowls and cries just like a baby. Mom gets real mad at him and sometimes puts him in the carrier he is so obnoxious (bet you thought I couldn't spell it huh!) -- Mom helped. Mom says its because he thinks he's going to the vet, but I think he's just afraid of traveling and is a big coward - but Mom wouldn't hear of that cause he's her "baby" .

Today is my birthday and I am so excited. I am one year old. Mom and Dad didn't realize it till they got the e-mail from Catster today as I was adopted and they didn't know the exact date. Now they have a date to celebrate each year and so do I. Hurrah!!!!! Daddy and Mommy wished me a Happy Birthday and so did my brother Jay Jay. I am on my way to becoming a big girl. Mommy gave me a strap off a box she got in the mail and I love playing with it. It wiggles and squirms all over the floor and I can drag it from room to room. It is so much fun. That's it for today.

Joy and Friends

Today Joy was asked to be friends with lots of other kitties. Some who wanted to know if she washed on the gentle cycle - She says "of Course I do anything else might hurt!" Besides that my Mom don't let me have access to the controls she says I'm too little for that, but I do like to explore.
