Arrival Story:
My sister was visiting from California, and we were out shopping and decided to stop at a local PetSmart to look at the kitties. Morrissey (called "Bode" by the animal rescue people) caught our eyes right away. While the other kitties were sleeping or looking depressed (poor things; it was heartbreaking to know they didn't have homes yet), Morrissey was actively interested in the rescue volunteers' activities (cleaning cages, etc.). He was so lively and inquisitive, not to mention beautiful, with his gorgeous blue eyes, that we just fell in love with him. I had to convince my husband that it was time for another cat, as he was happy with just two. We worked on him and told him how special this little guy was, and he finally reluctantly said yes. My sister and I brought home Morrissey the next day. I was thinking of either "Morrissey" (my favorite singer) or "Hornsby" (for Bruce Hornsby, my second favorite singer) as a name, so we tried out names in the car. He meowed when we called him Morrissey, so that became his name! When we got home Morrissey took over the house! He wasn't afraid of anything. It took Monty and Simba several days to get used to him, but they finally came around and stopped hissing at him! My husband just fell completely in love with him. He has commented several times that Morrissey "has a human soul" and has said, "He's brought so much joy to my life!"

Bio:
Morrissey was apparently brought to the HART rescue people by someone who said they couldn't take care of him anymore. I don't know what that meant; if it was someone elderly who couldn't care for him, or if it's because he's very active and needs a LOT of attention and that person just couldn't give it to him. He's getting all he needs here; we're crazy about him!
