Gone to the Rainbow Bridge

On Wednesday night, July 26, 2006, I went to meet Dorie at the Rainbow Bridge. Mom is devastated, she's still not over Dorie leaving her, but there was nothing she could do to help me. At least she was with me and didn't come home from work to find me like that. The vet said it sounded like I must have had a heart attack. By the time the emergency vet called back, it was too late, I was gone. I know Mom & Ranger & Lucy , and even dad will miss me, but they will go on. Lucy will continue to shred toilet paper, & that little kiss-up Ranger will continue to rub all over mom & purr for her. And I know that Lucy's taken my spot on the bed, she was always trying to bump me out of it anyway. Gotta go now, Dorie's going to show me around. She says the mice here are really slow, & the birds don't fly high enough to get away. This could be interesting...

Stranger in the house

Mom's mom came to visit us a couple of weeks ago. She brought her cat Tuffy with her. At least they call it a cat, he's huge, mean and rude. Acts like a dog! Anyway, he's gone back to our Aunt's house now, good riddance! He was so mean to Ranger! He event bit the grandma lady when she tried to stop him from picking on Ranger. Mom had to take her to the human vet to get some medicine, because her hand got infected from the bite really fast. He bit her in the morning, and by lunch her hand was swollen & red. If they had waited til Mom got off work, they would have put her in the hospital. Mom said she'd never seen anything get so bad so fast! The grandma said Tuffy's going to stay home from now on, because he just doesn't get along with other cats.

Did I tell you Ranger is staying inside most of the time now? He's a little annoying, but he's fun to play with. He has his own way to get in and out, and he won't tell me or Lucy how he does it. He likes to sleep with Mom, and he can really be pretty pushy. He likes to sleep by her head, I prefer her legs, and Lucy will usually sleep wherever she can aggravate one of into leaving.

Guess I'd better go for now, work to do. The squeaky mouse doesn't just squeak by itself you know.

Snack Dispenser

Well, another busy weekend. The other tall boy was home for the weekend and brought some friends. They had this thing called a baby with them. Lucy & I called it a snack dispenser! Every time they gave him something, it ended up in the floor. And it had a bottle! YUM! All in all a good weekend for us- lots of people to cater to our every wish AND the snack dispenser! Mom still wouldn't let us outside, but it was raining so we weren't too concerned about it.

Horrible weekend!

We all went outside Friday evening, but when Mom opened the door for us to come back in, Dorie wasn't there! It was awful! I've told her and told her to stay out of the street, but she didn't. We found her in the street, but she wouldn't get up. Now she's gone, I keep looking for her, and I can't find her anywhere. Mom keeps dropping water from her eyes on me and Lucy and she says Dorie's at the Rainbow Bridge and she will wait for us there.

Greetings from Texas! My name is Paint Chip. The tall Boy named me. He went away last year, Mom says he's in Iceland, in the Air Force, whatever that means. I really miss him sometimes, I looked EVERYWHERE for him when he disappeared. I get really excited when he calls and talks to me! I've got lots to occupy me though, Mom kept a kitten from each of my litters last year, so I have to make sure they behave themselves. Dorie and Lucy can really get into trouble if left on their own! I NEVER get in trouble, lol!
