Arrival Story:
Kashmir was rescued when she was a kitten from a home in California where she was being mulled by a pit bull. She was extremely flea invested when we took her in and her coat was all matted from dog slobber. Kashmir gave birth to her first litter of kittens on St. Patrick's Day 2003 and every time I cook corned beef & cabbage; Kashmir 'helps'. She is currently the proud mother of 5 kittens who were born on Memorial Day. Kashmir must have something about giving birth on holidays...lol. She's a wonderful mommy. Her kittens now have their own Catster page and we'll be updating both pages regularly.

Bio:
Kashmir has traveled with me by plane from California to Sicily, Italy where we lived for 3 1/2 years before moving back to the United States.

Alright that didn't work ...let me go see what the babies are eating.

So for days I've been reading up on goddess names and greek mortal names and so on trying to find the best name ever for my daughter "Clown Face". Well, since she is a little prankster and her face so it; my human mom came up with the name Cieatea - The Cie said like the end of Gracie, the a is long, and tea like the drink. Otherwise, C A T. Just spell the word fast and make it sound like a name. It's actually quite a beautiful name. I bet my little prankster will have people searching goddess names for the story of Cieatea; sounds Greek or Norse, doesn't it?

We once knew a black labrador named Deogee. I thought that was the prettiest name and at first was clueless on how his owner came up with the name then one day it just dawned on me "Hello" D O G. Makes perfect sense to me.

So I have my sons Simba, Milo, Nigel and Loki and my beautiful daughter Cieatea.

I do have to find another name for Nigel. I'm not very fond of his name.

Whew! I am SO tired!

The kittens are getting to be quite active and I'm being used as a play structure in addition to my regular mommy responsibilities. My human mom and I had to move them to an even bigger nursery box because they've figured out how climb up the sides of the other nursery boxes. They are pretty good about staying put in the bigger nursery box at night when the lights are off and in the early morning until the human children wake up.
They aren't nursing as much now so I get to be away from them for longer amounts of time. I tried to get outside a few times today but my human mom told me I'm not allowed out. Boo!
My human mom and her children have given the babies names that hopefully they will take with them to their forever homes. Oh! I almost forgot...I have 4 boys and only one girl.

The boys are:
Simba - The Lion King
Milo - of Milo & Otis
Loki - The Norse god of lies & sneaky ways
Nigel - a favorite name

We still haven't decided on a name for "Clown Face" my only girl. We've had plenty of suggestions and will eventually settle on one.
