Arrival Story:
Late one summer after doing some yardwork, we were getting ready to head in for the night when we began hearing something that sounded like a kitten crying. Thinking it was just a bird we shrugged it off but the cry continued. Well, what were we to do but try and see if we could find this illusive kitty? By now it was almost dark so my Aunt and I grabbed a couple flashlights and headed across the road to where the sound was resonating. Now we don't live in the city, but we do live off of a very busy main road so this was interesting to say the least. Finally sort of found this TINY wee kitten, but each time I attempted to get close it would run further back into the undergrowth and forest. We finally had no choice but to give up because there was no way we could get this cat if it wasn't going to cooperate. Well, the next morning I went out to feed the chickens and what did I hear but the same kitten crying, but this time the sound wasn't coming from across the road but my own backyard! It seems this tiny 4-5 week old kitten had crossed the road during the night and was now securely tucked behind some old rubbage in the wood shop. When I reached in to get her she was very frightened and shyed away. I moved enough stuff to be able to grab her and she promptly bit the bloody heck out of my finger! Brutis was thought to be a male, hence the name, and for the first couple weeks was extremely skiddish and easily frightened. Soon enough though 'she' came out of her shell and is now a well adjusted ball of fire. She still has her 'feral' moments, but is by far one of the most awesome cats I've ever had the privilage to 'serve'.

Bio:
Bea is a champion mouser, once catching 4 mice in one afternoon. She also enjoys dividing her time between her modeling career (posing for photos is one of her many talents) and being a sparring partner for her wrestling pals, Screamer and Sherbert, the neighbor cats.

So my Mom is a are-tist...grrr, however you spell that! She makes sculptures of dogs and cats and all kinds of other critters. You should check her out! I'm hoping she's going to make one of me real soon so she can put my beautiful mug on the Christmas tree!

Wooooooooooooof!!!!

Wow! I can't believe I'm actually a finalist in the Catster Coolest Cat Contest!! This is amazing! :) I'm up against some pretty tough competition that's for sure, but maaaaaaaaaybe I'll be able to get a few votes here and there! My Mom was so excited when she found out. She didn't even realize I had made it this far until now. (To be honest, I think she had forgotten that she'd entered me and my friends anyways...but that's okay, I still love her.)

Well let me take this opportunity to THANK all of my friends who voted for me and I hope you'll keep me in mind when making your votes for best in show!

Until next we meet, Happy Mousing! :)

Psssshhhhh. . .Humans!

I swear, I just don't know who humans think they are. I mean why does my Mom always think that she has to pick me up and give me kisses every night? Even when I'm napping under the desk, she comes to find me and does that baby talk thing. Ugh. Come on Mom, I'm almost 2 years old already!

And if that's not enough, she won't give me treats every time I want them. What the tootie?! Doesn't she KNOW who I am? Sometimes I wonder.

With all this human ranting you probably think I'm really anti-social, but I'm not. I really do like my Mom, she's just kind of weird. I think she's been hanging around those neighbor cats, Screamer and Sherbert too much. They actually like to purr and be petted all the time. Me, I haven't got time for that mushy stuff. There are too many mice to catch and moles to detect.
