Arrival Story:
I knew Poot's mother, Callie. She was a very great (feral) lady and beautiful as well as sweet. Several of us captured all the litter by the time they were weaned except for Pewter and his brother, Angel. At age three months Pewter was totally wild and failing in terms of health. (See photo #1) Mama Callie kept placing Pewter on our doormat during hurricanes in 2004. That autumn I captured Pewter. In three days he was tame. (See photo #2) It took longer to cure his mange, worm infestation, and other problems. (Buy Revolution!) In 2005, Pewter, his uncle Tai, and their 'dad' and I rode out three hurricanes together including Wilma which claimed our home, three other cats and a parrot.

Bio:
Pewter is a loving and well-adapted cat despite living many weeks in Motel 6 , Pompano Beach, where he was something of a celebrity, and then to a new home with us at Parrot's Landing with lots of Muscovy ducks! He and Tai provide emotional support to one another and to us.... and they are heroes. In 2007 the time had come to leave Florida forever (hurray!!!) and we were thrilled. We bought a country home and moved to Georgia where we established a wildlife habitat. . Tai and Pewter have a house and a black collie and a Australian Cattle Dog to play with and love. They feel they are fortunate to have come so very far through so much hardship and to have had a dream come true....a huge yard filled with BIRDS! Pewter has passed from our lives but he will always be remembered with love and hold a special place in our hearts.
