Arrival Story:
My grandmother had been wanting a gold kitten for the longest, but she didn't think she could find one being we live in the country. Well one day, she went to her dentist about 1 hour away (the best dentist closest to us) and decided to go to the antique shop next door while her husband(Pa) was gettin his teeth done. When she went in the shop, the woman was talking about finding a home for these two kittens. My grandmother asked her if she could see the kittens. So the lady took her back there and showed her a gold(shock!) kitten and a tortieshell kitten. Immediately she fell in love with them. So she called me up and asked me if I was interested in having a tortie kitten! As odd as it sounds, I have been wanting another cat for the longest! So she brought it over to my house. It was the cutest little girl kitten I ever seen! So I named her Reesey the Peanut Butter Cup because she had specks of brown, light brown(gold) and black on her fur.

Bio:
To tell you the truth, I had no idea what a tortoiseshell was when I got Reesey. So her wild behavior didn't come across as normal. When we took her to the vet to get her fixed, the nurse that took her back in the room said, "Oh, it's a tortoiseshell." So I was like, "What do you mean a tortoiseshell?" She said," They are just... different." So she left me clueless. When I got home, I did some research on the internet about them and familiarized myself with them. Now I know her wild behavior is just normal. Sometimes, she runs through my house 100 mph like she is hunting something, when she really isn't. We call it, "Hunting Air." It's quite funny. She will jump to extraordinary heights to get something. But by the end of the day, she is pooped. She loves to sleep with me at night. Sometimes she sleeps at the end of my bed on "gaurd duty", or she will sleep right next to my head with my other cat Smokey, purring their little heart out. It's so funny because Reesey tries her hardest to be friends with Smokey but he just won't accept her at times, (He likes her deep down) because he has been the head cat for 8 years. So it is funny to watch them play and fight. I love them both, and always will!
