Today Is My Birthday

Wow... big deal... I don't see a fancy three dog bakery cake! Mom never forgets to get the dogs their cakes. Maybe if she is smart see will cook me chicken and salmon for my birthday!

Nurse in charge

All week Mom has been allowing me to email a bunch of kitties to make friends. I should have known something was up, a momentary slip in my judgment. She told me this morning when she was getting the dogs breakfast ready.... i'm back on duty next week. Connor is going to have surgery which means I run the house. Why can’t these dogs take care of themselves? Sumi was sick for a long time but at least she is tough, she never complained. Mom explained to me what they are going to do to Con… possibly remove a toe! Yeah right he is going to heal in two weeks. So I ask this question…. Who do they think is going to help him get on and off the couch during this healing phase? Not me! I demand home cooked food for the entire time I am to be “nurse betty”.

Back On Duty

Nurse Bettie is back on duty. With Sumi in the hospital I have a lot to do. Mom and Dad are not well, they pretend but I see through them. Then theres Con and Jaz…. They are very busy trying to see who can get more attention no matter what it takes. Mom is cleaning everything so Sumi can come home to a clean environment and Dad bleached all the dogs beds. I heard Mom say I should have gone to the hospital to keep Sumi company and I agree but then again if I went I wouldn’t let anyone near her! I will do my best to keep you posted.

Ok Mom says I need a diary so here it is... I tell her what to type and she types. If today were a normal day I would be asleep on top of the human only couch. With Sumi sick, Mom home on vacation and stressed I am very busy. Trying to decide who to watch is getting old. I don't see why one of the dogs can't help. I like to have my days to myself but here I am holding the family together. I must admit Sumi gets all kinds of special food and she lets me take my share out of her dish which is nice. However, this morning when I was helping myself she licked my head.... it will take me a week to clean that off. I need to continue with my daily routine, I will do my best to update my diary later.
