When my human dresses me up

Favorite Toy:
Feathers on a stick, wind up mouse, packaging and bottle caps of any kind

Favorite Nap Spot:
Lying on my back on the wicker chair on screened patio or curled up on my human's Ab Lounge (it's not used much anyway)

Favorite Food:
Iams with a spritz of Lipiderm to keep my coat looking good

I sit up and beg like a dog (humans seem to like this trait)

Arrival Story:
I came from a local breeder, with a face like this, my new humans were gonners

I love my humans and I sometimes think I'm a dog - I like to sit up and beg for treats (it works) and I like to get groomed (always followed by, you guessed it, another treat). When I want my feet rubbed, I put my paws up on my human and let out a big MEOW!

My Diary

Seven things about me

I've been tagged . . .

Here are the rules for the TAG game.

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write on their own diary about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your diary.

Here goes . . .
1. I love to go out onto the screened patio to chase lizards, watch birds in the yard, the golfers on the course or just lounge on the wicker furniture and watch the world go by.
2. I love to get brushed every single morning and pout if my mom forgets.
3. I sit up and beg for my special Greenies treats but feel I shouldn't have to do that to get one!
4. I enjoy sitting on my mom's lap but when I'm kneading her, I sometimes put tiny holes in her favorite shirts even though my dad keeps my nails clipped.
5. I don't mind getting my summer lion cut but I just don't like the way I look it in (I feel rather naked if you know what I mean). Everyone thinks I'm awfully cute in it so I try and go with the flow and just smile.
6. I have many collars, scarves and even a sun visor but I feel silly in them; once again, everyone else thinks I look cute - I'm a guy for goodness sakes!
7. Don't tell anyone but I often sneak into the guest room and stretch out on the bed even though I'm not supposed to ;-)

Eat your greens

That's what I keep hearing -- that us cats like to eat greens and believe me, I have tried. My mom has bought me those special greens for cats and they're sitting right there on the patio when I go out there to chase lizards. I look at them, sniff and walk away. For some odd reason, they never taste as good as the silk leaves of a plant we have in the family room. I keep sneaking leaves off of it (from the back so as not to alert anyone). I chew them up good but I don't actually eat the leaves. Mom has finally noticed since the silk plant is starting to look rather skimpy. She finally yelled at me this morning when she found a leaf I had chewed up (I accidentally left it in a place where she would see it -- I should know better). I promised her that I would try the real thing - do you suppose I'm addicted to silk? Hmmmm . . . well, if she tries to send me for counseling, I'll remind her she's addicted to shoes!

Yesterday I pulled a good one - my human Dad had been chasing me around the house thinking I wanted to play. I was getting pretty pooped but he just kept chasing me. After he decided to leave me alone at last, I went to take a nap on the patio. Just as I was getting comfy, along comes a small lizard - being the stalker I am, I had to grab it no matter how tired I was. Now I generally just toss these little creatures about and play with them but not this time. Later that evening while all was quiet in the house, I had what I thought was a normal hairball but there was a twist to this one (I think you see where this is going). I, of course, ran to make sure I coughed it up in just the right spot. In the wee hours, I heard some words I'd rather not repeat as he stepped right onto my surprise - when he put the lights on to see what it was he stepped in - there it was - half of that lizard. Payback is a - well, you know . . .
