I'm home and I've had a bit to eat. I think I've hit the home stretch on the long road to recovery. Seven years to the day since I first walked into this house I'm now curled up on a pile of blankets and pillows purring like a champ. Thank you all SO MUCH for your thoughts and prayers!!!

I don't know what to say, except to report that the POTP and prayers seem to be working! I didn't want to jinx anything by posting earlier but Mommy and Daddy came to see me again today (they've been in to visit every day) and they said I looked like a whole new cat today! The doctor said that if I can start eating again I can go home tomorrow. Still no ideas what could possibly have caused any of this - no poison, same food as always, no house plants, no obstructions. My only goal is to start eating something again. I have not eaten anything since last Friday and nothing was staying down then anyway. Mom and dad cleared out the mud room for me and put down lots of cushy blankets so that I'd have a confined, heated, uncarpeted space to recover from my surgery and get my strength back (and where they can really monitor my food intake. I can't thank all you cats enough and will report back once I'm home and settled.

Hi all. I know it's been absolutely forever since I updated my page or added new photos, but now I'm coming back asking for your prayers. I am very sick and my doctor doesn't know what's wrong with me. I just keep throwing up and nobody can find a reason for it. The doctor did exploratory surgery yesterday and turned up nothing. Please, if you have a few minutes, please say a prayer for me. I really need to get better and go home. There's a Christmas tree for me to lay under, and my baby human brother (who is almost 4 now) really needs me to hug.

I saw a meme about quirks so I thought I'd add ours!
Mine:
I lick photographs - they must be hidden from me or they're destroyed quickly!
I'm terrified of new people but I'm the only cat who really likes Baby Adam
I howl in the middle of the night - loudly. And at the basement door.
When I get locked in the sunroom when my howling is bad, I've learned how to break out through the kitty door, even when it's locked.
I chase my tail - a lot.
Bitey's:
Bitey gets medication to help him be more "mellow." I don't think it's working.
He is the smallest one of all of us, but the toughest.
He likes to put his fangs into things, especially photographs. And Lucy and me.
He is the only cat who doesn't sleep on the bed at night.
He's the official greeter - saying hello to guests and Mommy and Daddy when they come home, or inside after five minutes outside.
Lucy's:
Lucy likes to cuddle - she'll sleep with me, or with Bitey, but never at the same time.
She loves milk rings and we find them everywhere.
She has started spraying in the house. And she's a girl!
She has to be warm - probably why she likes to cuddle with her brothers or Mommy and Daddy.
She loves to eat Goldfish - the crackers, that is!
Adam's:
He slaps his thigh when something makes him laugh.
He jumps forever in his jumperoo.
He's not so great at the "gentle" pets and sometimes comes away from petting us with a fistful of fur.
He's learning to crawl - our toys won't be safe much longer!
He never lets any food fall on the floor because he eats it all - we were told this would be a bonus for us???

I have the best news ever. Mom came home! She actually got to leave the hospital two days before Christmas so we had a GREAT Christmas after all! We didn't think she'd get to come home at all before the human kitten was born (he's due 2/12) but she seemed to be doing OK so the doctors let her come home.
And the best part is that she's not allowed to go back to work. So she's home with us all day every day.
The only bad part of all of this is that we get lots of company now. People come over during the day and bring her lunch or come to see her on the weekends and that sucks for me. I'm finding that I'm spending more time under the bed than in the rest of the house!
Thank you to everycat who sent rosettes and messges. And I'm sorry I couldn't find the time to thank everycat personally. I just got a lot more Catster stuff done before when she was at work everyday!

I just wanted to take a minute to apologize to any kitties who have not heard from me in awhile. My mom is the one who helps me with Catster and she's been really busy. She was in the hospital for a few days (but now she's fine and the human kitten brother that she's growing is fine too) but she's been working really hard at work so that she can go on something called maternity leave. I don't know what that is, but I think it means that she's going to be home with us during the day! So if working hard now means more time with my toys and my mom, I'm all for it.
So I'm sorry if I missed thanking anyone for a rosette or if I didn't respond quickly to something, but hopefully I'll do better now.
I hope that all of my friends had great Thanksgivings!

A bunch of kitties have done a middle name meme, where they say something related to each letter of their middle names. So here's mine.
N - Not happy when company comes to visit. I really hate it when strangers are in my house!
D - Displeased that my role as the baby will be taken by a human kitten in February. I'm the baby!
U - Underfoot - I trip Mommy and Daddy a lot because I have to be close to them at all times. And I like to "help" them go up and down the stairs.
G - Glad to live in my house. I really am glad that I was adopted and that I have such a nice life.
U - Undecided on whether the human kitten should be a boy or a girl. I'd prefer if it were a doll. Or, better yet, a mini-mouse that I could bat around.

Lately we have been having a big thunderstorm at least once a week. And they're always at night when we're sleeping and they're the kind that wake up Mom and Dad and make them go downstairs so that if a tree gets struck by lightening and falls on our house, they'll be a floor below the impact. So yeah, really scary storms.
I have mixed feelings about these storms. If they have to happen, I'm glad they happen when Mom and Dad are at home. And it's usually the time that I start to howl for attention, so the storm does my work for me and wakes them up and they pay attention to me, so that's a good thing.
But the bad thing is that they're scary. I don't really like them. I don't hide or anything, cause I'm a tough 3-year old now, but I'm still really scared.
Just wanted to tell the storm guy that we would like a few less, OK? Thanks!

I've been tagged by my great friend Little Baby Gordo Cooper (Gordy) to do the 7 things about me meme. I'm a little late, 'cause Mom and Dad were in California, so I'll have to see who's left to tag!
1) I am a big cat. When Mom and Dad first got me, I was only 4 months old and way bigger than my 6 month old siblings. The vet started to estimate that I was about 6-8 months, and then she discovered my baby teeth! I have a huge head and huge paws.
2) I am the biggest cat in the house and the one with the wussiest voice. I squeak and squeal and whine. Constantly. Most often from 3:00 - 6:00 a.m.
3) I am a big baby and hide behind the couch when the doorbell rings. If it's someone I don't know, or don't remember knowing, I hide behind the washer or under a bed until they leave. Many of Mom and Dad's friends don't believe that I exist.
4) I hate it when they have parties.
5) I like to nap in Bitey's stroller, but I hate it when it moves.
6) I like to be held like a baby, cradled in Mom or Dad's arms. And when they put me down, they have to put me all the way down, gently, 'cause I trust them enough that I don't twist to land on my feet. They can even lay me down on my back and I don't move at all.
7) I sleep a lot - and love to sleep on soft things - blankets, pillows, clothes, etc. And I am a magnet for laying on the darkest thing too. Find a pair of black pants and I've totally "Steviefied" them within seconds.
