Dear Friends,

(This is a copy of an email I sent to two of my friends. I thought I'd post it here, so our other Catster friends can know what is going on with Bob.)

A few days ago I found a spot on the couch where one of the cats had peed, not a full-on pee, just a small area. I treated it with liquid enzyme cleaner and thought perhaps someone was upset over the packed boxes we have everywhere (we are moving.) Well, I found another spot on the other cushion of the couch the next morning. Having five cats, it's hard to know who the culprit might be, but something told me one of my elders (Tigger or Bob) might be losing control of their bladder.

This morning I was sitting on the couch typing on the laptop and I smelled "fresh" urine. I looked up and Bob was laying on the back of the couch. I immediately got up and went to look. Sure enough, there was a fresh urine stain on the comforter I have placed up there for the cats to lie on, and Bob's fur on his nether regions was wet.

Mike is taking Bob to the vet tomorrow first thing. I have a feeling something serious must be wrong. I was hoping someone had a urinary tract infection and that was why the peeing happened, but I don't know that UTI's can cause loss of bladder control.

Catzowey BOB! Youza upset fur shure cuz yur entire house izza in da moving boxes. Me and Myself wouldza be peeeing and peeing all over too!. I thinks youza OK justza stressed dude. Wear yur Man Cats Hard Hat to the VET to let em now not to mess with yourza Manly self

Thank you Kitties for your purrs. Mom thinks that I have a urinary tract infection, as she did some research on the old Internet tonight. At least she hopes it's just a UTI. I am a bit under the weather and laying about more than ususal, but I am eating well. If I wasn't eating, Mom would REALLY be worried.

I am such a laid back kitty that I am the last one she would think would pee pee because of stress, but hey, it's pawssible! When I lost control of my bladder I was laying down on my side, not in a peeing position, and my fur was wet on that side from the urine. Otherwise she might think I was pee peeing from stress.

Ms. Gina Mama, maybe something is stressing Bob and he is marking his area. Happens. My Mama Deb will have a prayer for you and Bob and your family. She is good at that.

Moving is such a scary thing! It's no wonder you "let go" a little bit here and there. I'm revving up my motor for you, buddy and mommy's saying a prayer that everything is ok soon!
