 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: June 18th 2002
 Coloration: White

Likes: Getting treats

Pet-Peeves: None - Smudge is a very sweet kitty

Favorite Toy: He doesn't play much

Favorite Nap Spot: On a pad on top of my dresser

Favorite Food: Any meat we are eating -- last time we had duck, he begged for it -- see photo!!!

Skills: He can be a peacemaker -- Smudge is most often the one who will groom the other cats.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: Smudge is one of the six-pack (see pages for Ancho, Athene, Cara Mia, Java and Lily). We brought them all home to foster when they were between 3 and 4 weeks old. They were just adorable, but he is the reason we kept these cats!! We'd had them all here only a day or two and on the third morning I noticed he didn't come from the bed to eat, as all the others did. He was breathing strangely, and was exceptionally lethargic. We took him to the vet, where he was given fluids and an antibiotic. We were shown how to give him fluids and were told to syringe feed him. It was touch and go for a couple of days, and he came within a whisker of dying. After it was clear he would live, we knew we couldn't let him go. The rest is history!!

Bio: Yes, Smudge is a pure white cat!! As a baby, he had a large gray patch right on the top of his head. It went away as he grew up. Smudge is a rather timid cat -- almost reserved, but not frightened. He doesn't seem to let much bother him and seems to get along well with all the other cats in the House of Paws.

Lives Remaining: 8 of 9

It seems I have been tagged by *Ditto*
http://www.catster.com/cats/319193
The rules: Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write on their own diary about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your diary.
Seven Random Facts about me:
1. I am the only one in our house who has been to a cat show!! (But that will change soon, when we get a new sister who will be shown).
2. My mom and dad have had me and my five siblings since we were less than 4 weeks old. We were orphaned at about 2 1/2 weeks old when our mommy was killed by a car, and someone took us all to a rescue.
3. I am very, very gentle and sweet-natured even though I am a big boy cat!
4. I don't have bottom fangs -- they just never came in after my baby-teeth fangs fell out!!
5. I almost died from a viral infection when I was very tiny -- mom and dad had to syringe feed me and give me subcutaneous fluids. Then when I lived, they said they had to adopt me.
6. I love to **streeeeetch** up to look at what dad is doing when he is preparing dinner -- especially if there is chicken or beef or pork being cut up there on the counter!
7. I will always ask the other kitties to lick my head -- I kind of cozy up to them and put my head down in front of their face....sometimes another kitty *will* lick my head, and I loved that....but sometimes I get swatted.
Now I tag these 7 kitties:

Wow, my humans took me on a real adventure this weekend. I was entered in a cat show -- it was verrrrry scary, because I really don't like to leave the house much. In fact, I have never left the house before except to go to the vet, and I have never stayed overnight away from home. Mom and Dad took me to a place called a motel where we all slept on Friday night...at least I could get in bed with my humans and feel safe, because everything was new and strange there.
On Saturday morning I didn't want to eat breakfast, but they put me back in the carrier and we went to a BIG room with LOTS and LOTS of other cats. We were all in cages on tables. Mom and Dad put curtains around the cage so I had a nice little cave where I could hide. I am not a pedigreed cat, so I was in the Household Pet class. I was the only white kitty, and even though I was very timid, I was very polite with the judges, and they liked me and gave me ribbons -- I made the finals in both rings!! Mom and Dad were very proud of me and they petted me and loved on me, but I was still scared. They told me that if I hadn't been so afraid, the judged would've loved me even more!! But I was sure glad to get back home last night, and I didn't even hold anything against my parents!! I am the only kitty in my house to bring home ribbons from a real cat show, so *there* to them! Time to spend today catching up on my beauty sleep!!!

Have any of you ever had a bath? My mom and dad gave me one this morning -- I have never experienced such a thing before!!!! They put *water* on me, which I didn't like at all -- there was this sprayer in the sink and it scared me. At least the water was nice and warm. Then mom gave me a nice massage but my fur got all foamy and had a different smell. Then they turned on that sprayer thing again, and I really yelled and tried to run away, but Dad was holding on and I couldn't get away. Finally, mom poured a lot of water on me from a big glass , and that was better than the sprayer. FINALLY they let me out of the sink, and I jumped into Dad's arms and mom brought a towel fresh from the dryer and they wrapped me up in that -- I liked that a lot!!! After I was mostly dry with more nice warm towels, they let me go, and I had to groom a lot. They have been brushing me with the Zoom Groom too, and that makes me purr a lot!! I have to admit my fur is much softer now!!! They are talking about taking me to a "show" later this month.....I don't think that is something I will like, but I just have to trust them. At least I got a nice treat after this "bath" thing this morning!!
