Arrival Story:
Pes kind of came with an apartment, actually. Justin had decided to get a kitten, and asked the rental office at his new place about their cat policy. Not only were they allowed, the woman working there had two kittens at home whose planned homes had fallen through. Pes moved in the day Justin did, and immediately began taking weekend trips to ingratiate herself to her other person Christine, and Christine's older cat Mokey. (Mokey was a much harder sell!) Now we all live together with a puppy, some birds (in a forbidden room Pes wishes she was allowed to enter) and some tasty but inaccessable fish.

Bio:
Pes was the brattiest kitten EVER. She was a foot-biter, a clothes-climber, an absolute menace to the birdcage and lizard tank (the lizard is sadly no longer with us, but it's not Pes's fault). And she'd try to bolt out the door at every opportunity. When left alone in a room for a couple hours she once managed to pry several keys off a laptop computer--one of which was never found. Pes grew up in an apartment with very bad ventilation and chain-smoking downstairs neighbors, and we believe that is why she developed kitty asthma. It's 90% better now that she is no longer exposed to tobacco, and her medicine makes her lie on her back staring at the ceiling like a kitty drug addict, so she lives a normal medicine-free kitty life, just with a little extra barfing from time to time. But what are humans for if not cleaning up cat barf . . . Luckily Pes has mellowed a bit (though she still has to be netted AND sedated at the vet's office, and can't be trusted outside) as she's grown up. She also happens to be a VERY affectionate kitty, very friendly to our other kitty and surprisingly patient with the puppy. Pes is very beloved and has her own special song: Mon-key caaaaat! More monkey than caaaaat!
