Thank you to all of you who have sent me gifts, left messages and posted on forums sending me purrs. It is greatly appreciated by myself and my mom, it comforts us to know some many of you care.
I dont give up easily, I have had 2 car accidents, 3 homes, lost a leg to cancer and now a lung but I am still here, fighting.
I have got thru the last week and I seem to be winning this fight, maybe not the battle but I will take one fight at a time.
The fluid that collects in my chest is from my left lung that no longer works but my meds seem to be working in draining it away which means I have to get up and pee more. I have anti-biotics at the moment just as a precautionary as I am at a low point and I dont need to fight anything else. I havent been eating much and have been very quiet and reserved, even hiding at way at times, so it was decided to start me on my pain meds just incase I was in pain and was trying to hide it. The pain meds have helped and I am now more comfortable and eating a bit more. Mom wasnt happy about starting them so soon but at this time she is happy they are helping and I might not need it all the time once I have stabilised more after this last week. I dont lie all humped up now when I sleep, I sleep as I used to before all this happened. I get around, maybe slower than before and I have to sit down and have a short rest quiet often. I have also started to loose weight, so my mouse pouches are sagging!!!
On the good side, my right lung is looking good and healthy and hopefully with the help of my meds I will be around for a while, I have to be, who else is going to take the mick out of The catfather?
Its been a long, hard, stressful week for mom, esp when she thought she was going to loose me on monday. Mom gives me an hours Reiki treatment everyday, it helps me to relax and have a deep restful sleep .By the way, I am very proud of my mom, she is now a qualified holistic animal healer, she received her diploma shortly before I became ill.
I have to thank The Catfather and mouse for adding me to the purr forums and keeping my friends up to date.
I heard a whisper yesterday that The Catfather got scared, but I will not say more as he has bigger mouse pouches than I do now!!
I will try to do my diary often and keep you all up to date on how things are going.

Wow, that sounds pretty stressful! We are glad you are feeling better then you were before. All of us here will be sending big purrs for you and that your good lung sticks around for a good long while!!
