Arrival Story:
My ex and I had noticed a stray kitten about the same size as Lilly running around our block and thought she was adorable. Labor Day weekend we tried to catch her and found that the people across the ally from us had rescued her from a jerk at a flea market who was tossing her in the air like a doll as a tiny kitten. They were keeping her outside and she was flea ridden which made her very skittish. We offered to take her in and they were more than happy to give her to a good home. We took her to the vet, cleaned her up, and gave her some tender loving care and now she's the happiest, most cuddly, purry kitty!
Unfortunately her daddy decided he could not take her to Florida with him when he moved. Luckily for me that meant I got to swoop in and rescue her from being abandoned...something that will NEVER happen to poor Lu ever again now that she is with me. She is now happily living with Lilly again, her new BFF, Kharma, and her new adoptive daddy who loves her just as much as I do.
Bio:
Luna is still a street cat to the bone! She steals food if we leave plates unattended... even cereal! She'll steal first and decide if she likes it later. She's also spread her "street" smarts to Lilly who picked up on the ol' dipping your paw into a glass and lick it off when you can't fit your head in to drink the water trick. She goes absolutely bananas over packing peanuts! She tosses them up in the air, jumps on them and flattens her body on the floor to make sure they don't go anywhere, and even gets so riled up her tail gets all pouffy! She's so adorable!
