Back from the Vet

First off, thank you all for the power of the purr! It really helped my mom and me to know you are here.

The vet checked me out, up and down, from the top of my cute little head to the tip of my stumpy little tail! I was kinda scared at first, but I did okay. She said that my abdomen felt enlarged and that I had a certain sick cat "smell". (Gee, I didn't know I smelled bad! MOL) Anyway, she ordered an x-ray and had my mommy come to the back and look at it. Lo and behold, there was part of my poor large intestine looking distended and full of poop! I also had gassy pockets inside. So, now we all know why I wasn't feeling well.

Mommy is to give me a kitten-sized dose of Miralax suspended in liquid, every two hours until I hopefully produce some poop. Then Mommy is supposed to note the condition of my poop. Good grief, is nothing sacred anymore?! I think I need to consult my furriend Newman on this one. He's the poop expert. Why, he even wrote a book about it! MOL

The vet said to assist feed me, and Mommy bought some high calorie prescription food for me. I did fine with the assist feeding. Mommy didn’t give me too much food at once time since I have been somewhat nauseous as well.

I will keep you posted; I have a follow up appointment on Monday.

Love Indiana

Poor baby! Purring that the Miralax helps you poop and soon! Mommy used to give me Miralax in water via a syringe and it usually worked for me by the next day. Glad you were able to eat a little food too. I'll be purring for you and showering you with healing dust and hope all goes well when you see the vet on Monday.

Purrs & angel blessings,

Sending you some healing kitten purrs! It's no fun to not feel well and it really makes pawrents stressed. My mom had to syringe feed me when she first brought me home - no fun at all. Hope the meds continue to help and you start feeling much better.

Hugs and purrs,
