Today was a rainy day, which equals lazing in bed all day for Milo and I both. Last night after I posted the entry and shut down my computer to go to bed, he was still very active and wanting to play. I left a night light on for him, but I was too tired to join in. A couple of minutes later I woke up to movement on my bed and look up to see him walking towards me. It was the cutest thing, it was only today that I witnessed how he crawled on top of my bed. I thought he jumped up there and was sort of amazed since he's such a tiny, little guy and that's a pretty big leap but no, I was wrong. I have many blankets on my bed and one of them happened to be hanging down, he climbed up! He has several ways of doing it too in case a blanket isn't hanging down! I have a twin sized bed, there's also a bed underneath it that slides out from underneath, he claws that bottom mattress to climb up to the second one and make his way up. It's adorable, I'll have to get it on video one day. He's been purring at me a lot today, and last night he cuddled up to me very closely. Definitely keeps me warm throughout the night! I also noticed he doesn't like to get off the bed and play if I'm not awake. He'll eat a bit, and use his litter box, but shortly after he'll hop back into bed with me. I went to bed a little late last night, around 2-3 a.m. and slept in until 9 a.m., when I woke up, there was my little Milo, awaiting me. After I woke up, he jumped off the bed and did his daily routine of playing until he's exhausted. I also gave Milo his first bath today, I was reading up on it and a couple of different places were saying I should get him used to it while he's still young. He did fairly well for his first bath, however, being dried with a blow dryer was not his cup of tea at all. I had to to towel dry him but we got through it and he still loved me after.

Oh-oh! A bath...OMC!!
Once again concatulations on being the Diary of the day!
Our meowmy was at work till 11pm, so we are rather late...but here is a cute piccie/memento we asked her to make fur you:
DIARY OF THE DAY CONGRATS!
You are going to be a handsome kitty-dude when you grow up, and we can tell you are a lively & loving kitty. Glad you were rescued, and pleased to get to meet you, too!
Pipo & Minko
Milo is a very resourceful little guy, climbing the bed to be with his mommy!Sounds like he is really bonded with you.
In my experience orange kitties are very special and affectionate. Does he allow you to hold him on his back? "Snorgle" his belly? If not try to get him used to it..
A bath? He didn't mind ~he may even like playing in water..my Ollie sure did. It was very cute. I guess the blow drier is a bit too much for most kitties! Is Milo going to be completely indoors? Cause in that case bathing is not a must. I don't bathe my guy at all. They do pretty well with self-cleaning :)
Oh and touch his paws a lot so he will be used to nail clipping! The front paws are all you need to do. The back ones they do a pretty good job themselves. Hope you don't mind the unsolicited advice! If you have any questions please don't hesitate.
We are here to have fun but also to help each other.
Pipo and Minko that's a very cute memento!
And smooches for little Milo for the ice cream for big Milo.He loves ice cream!
It was hot here in Montreal but finally cooler weather is on it's way!
See you later!
Sounds like Milo is having a great time exploring and learning to love being on the bed...that is heaven on earth for me!
Bath did you say bath!!!Oh I think I not want Mom to read this it will give her the idea of bath for me....bye gotta run!
Concatulations on being a DDP today, Milo!
Here is a pic memento fur you to mark the oc-cat-sion:
Have a great day! Purrs!
Pipo & Minko
Congrats on being a DDP Milo!
Great piccie guys!
Well, when he's in a playful mood he'll kind of roll over onto his back like a little puppy and let me rub his tummy for a bit. I'll see if I'm able to get a snorgle and live to tell about it! He's going to be indoors for now but I'm wanting to get him used to the outdoors when we move to California. By doing that, I plan to take him out every now and then with a harness, also letting him have supervised play time. It's a pretty big yard with flowers, bird feeders, butterflies, so he should have plenty of things to keep him company. I haven't given him his shots or dewormed him just yet (only have had him for five days, and it was unexpected), even though I believe he has no worms, I checked the stool and his behind but I'm going to let a vet make the final judgment of that, so that's another reason I don't want him outside playing with other outdoor, maybe stray animals just yet. I hear they're more vulernable when they don't, we're getting it all done when my boyfriend comes down in two weeks. I've been taking your advice about the touching of the paws, we definitely are going to get his nails clipped when he goes to the vet, way too sharp! Also, I do not mind the advice at all, in fact I'm open to any advice anyone has to give. I love cats to death, but this is also my first kitten, so I'm sure there are some things I do not know and could be very useful for me to be informed, so thank you.
Thank you very much for both of the pic mementos WeBeesMotleyMarineezerPurrates, that was very thoughtful of you!
Concats on the DDP again and so glad to see all the fun you are having with your new baby. He's SO adorable!
You are so furry welcome!
Pipo & Minko
