Defeat Black Cat/Dog Syndrome!

Hi Everybody!
My sister Val and I are black, therefore forever cursed with the dreaded black cat syndrome. Now I'm not quite sure what it is, but the lovely shelter humans say that it is keeping me from getting adopted. WHY!? Please help me rid this dreaded curse! Me and my sis REALLY want to have a home. And my the shelter humans even said that for May, they would lower my adoption price, just because Val and I are black cats!!!! See, we aren't all that bad!
