Likes:
She loves to bring her nose to mine, pouncing on my feet when I'm walking away, loves to jump in plastic bags and card boxes, loves to scratch my iPad leather case and chew on my macbook cover! AGH! She loves to sleep on the set top box, and my bed!

Pet-Peeves:
Plastic bags, cardboard boxes, exploring everything new in the house, throwing my clothes down and making a spot for herself in my cupboard!

Favorite Toy:
A brown beanie baby ty cat toy, we call it her baby. She licks it, strangles it, claws it, carries it around in her mouth like its her own baby, and every morning it is a ritual to wait patiently outside my room to finally put it at the foot of my bed

Favorite Nap Spot:
Specifically my pillow on my bed, my cupboard, on the garden terrace near pots, on the sofa in the hall, and my chair for my computer, my macbook, my study notes!

Favorite Food:
Whiskas, Whiskas and More Whiskas! IAMS too! She loves tuna, ocean fish food, salmon pockets and she loves bombil, a local bombay fish

Skills:
Catching moths, scratching all of us crazy, jumping on my face when I'm sleeping, scratching my legs to wake me up in the morning, she flips a lot in the air when playing and darts like a shooting arrow!

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
My kitten was my destines' call! She was an abandoned kitty by her mom cat, no siblings and was surviving in an electricity box of my acquaintances' building, with stale rice offered to her by the pitiful 1st floor people. Little red ants walked around her and she was quite comfortable in that small area. I was called by my distressed friend who supposedly gets uncomfortable around cats to see if I could rescue her or take her home. At around 11:30 am I went to see this kitten. Oh god she was adorable. Grey Mackerel Tabby, with green eyes and the most adorable face I've ever seen on a kitty. I just had to take her home. Just my dad should say a yes.... and before I could describe her condition and how cute she was, he immediately said a YES! It was like a surprise because dad, though he loves animals, feels they have their natural space. But he loves cats now. Miu is a member of our family since September 2010 and she is a proud member of our family. I cannot imagine my days starting or ending without her. I'm just not her guardian, I am her mom and sister, and she is my daughter! :D

Bio:
When she was adopted she was at least 2 weeks old. So technically her birthday should fall on 19th August 2010 approximately. But the day she entered our house, I feel it was a rebirth for her, for if we had not saved her, she would have definitely died.

An Introduction to Miu:
Miu is my arrogant, but adorably furry grey mackerel tabby. She has goregously yellow-green eyes, little white socks and the furriest snowy coat I have ever seen on a domestic cat. Ofcourse, since she is my favorite furry wonder, you may feel I am just boasting. But honestly, the best thing about being a cat owner is, how you can see a scrawny stray kitten transform into a beautiful house cat just by feeding her right and grooming her well. I love her immensely and I cannot imagine my days starting or ending without cuddling her and kissing her funny without letting her struggle out of my clutches! Very few people are cat lovers. People are either too stereotyped with cats (they are unlucky, they are not capable of affection, they are owned by witches!) or they are just plain afraid of their claws, scratchy nature, their uncanny appearance to their wilder family viz. tigers & cheetahs. I am against the thought that cats are incapable of loving affection. Miu nibbles and licks on my palm every day with loving affection, she sleeps at my feet on my blanket, and next to my keyboard (sometimes sprawling all over it and opening innumerable amounts of windows and applications, especially windows media player), she follows me around the house and does not sleep unless I am by her side. If I leave the room even to get a glass of water, she will wake up and follow me, while belching a loud yowl for leaving her alone in the room! Cats are but very human, and yes they are capable of a lot of love and even therapy. Cats live in old age homes and therapy centres, as just being around a cat one feels calm by just even petting a cat. Cats heal a hurting heart, they help get over the loss of a close friend, they even have such qualities as knowing which human to sit by and be petted by, because they understand when one needs immense attention than another by just being there. Cats are very territorial and very loyal. They will not associate with others much than their owner, but many are very friendly and get along with anyone. Most of them love to be petted to purr-fection. I love Miu and she has become the most adored member of our family. Everyone loves her and everyone plays with her. She has calmed us down alot. My cat has helped my mother face her blood pressure problems and by just talking to her, playing with her, my mother has cat-theraputically dealt with the problem. Who says cat arent great pets? Try getting a kitty off the road one day. You'll be surprised how attached you can get to a furry wonder!
