Arrival Story:
Lewis was adopted from a shelter in Plainfield, IL in 2000... he was around 6 months old when I adopted him, and he was the cat that no one else wanted. So, of course, he was the cat that I wanted the most. I remember the people at the shelter didn't want to show Lewis to us, and actually laughed and said, "No one wants Lewis." :(. He was just frightened and needed some TLC. He was always closer to my older sister and mother, so I didn't take him with me when Chloe and I moved to Canada. Unfortunately, he got outside and ran away when my mother moved a year later, and we haven't seen him since the summer of '08 :(.

Bio:
Lewis is a very manipulative character. If he wants to go outside and we won't let him (because it is too cold or raining or any number of good excuses) then he will run around biting our toes, eating puzzle pieces, and beating up smaller animals & children to irritate us until we want to throw him out. But he is also a lover, and can be cuddly and VERY needy at random points. All in all, he's a big sweetie.

My mother and Ericka moved from Plainfield to Naperville, IL, and Lewis did not handle the move well. He ran off and they haven't been able to find him. We're all very worried. I hope that he's okay and that he makes it back to them...

Ericka is not very internet savvy... but Lewis is "her kitty"... so she happily looked over his profile today.
Ericka: Lewis isn't a mixed breed!
Tania: Sure he is, look at his HUGE ears. He's crossed with an elephant or something...
Ericka: He's a purebred Oriental shorthair!

She got a bit indignant. I know nothing about cat breeds *hangs head in shame*

I may have to eat another puzzle piece.

Let me start this out by saying something that I feel very strongly about. Chloe is a simpering fool. She has every chance to run out the door and be FREE and what does she do?? She hides behind Tania (her person) and is content to take naps and do her do INSIDE THE HOUSE.

Me? I have to be free. My humans have been very difficult lately. "No, Lewis, you can't go outside. There's a blizzard." BAH. I'm not scared of any puny blizzard! Whatever a blizzard is. I have begun eating grammy's puzzle pieces as I've realized an important connection. If I eat her puzzle, she tells me I am "annoying the crap out of her" and then I get to go outside! Brilliant! Sometimes even that doesn't work though. "No, Lewis, go away. It's 2 AM!" they tell me.

I suppose being in the house is not all that bad. I have once again found my trusty plush pom pom ball. My humans say that it is dirty... I don't know what they're talking about... it took me months to work this toy into a play-worthy shape.

Not much has been going on in my life other than that. I am still trying to prove to Chloe that I am the dominate one in our partnership, but she persists in smacking me and running to Tania. I am 7 pounds heavier than her, so I keep trying to sit on her to make her realize that I am the one in power, but then Tania yells at me and calls me a bully. Bah. Who wanted a new cat anyhow? At least I can count on cuddling up with my Ericka tonight. Not that I need any cuddling, mind you.
