I was just sharpening my claws on the armchair - we have one old one we are allowed to use and sometimes I humour mum by using that instead of the new sofa.

I was all engrossed in that delightful feeling of flexing those claws when BAM! I was ambushed. Josie pounced on me. "How do you like it when it is done to you?" she asked as she bounded away.

I was never more surprised. I wanted to call this entry "The Worm turned" but mum said Josie wouldn't like to be called a worm. Once I was over the shock of course I liked it fine as off in pursuit I went. We had some of our best chases ever yesterday evening. Mum was pleased that Josie seemed to be as happy as I was and we didn't break anything so that's a top night all round.

Mum said to say I am going on holiday next week. (I am??) so I'll have to write all about that when I come home again.

Dude that one reason why I don't mind being an only furkid. My food is my and I don't get pounced on and annoyed. Hope your mum is sending you to great place for holiday. I look forward to hearing about it when you back.

ConCATulations on being a DDP again today! Your Diary is ALWAYS fun to read. I am the youngest and littlest kitty in my furmily, so I always get the "sneak attack." My brofurs and sisfur always seem to attack when I am not paying them any mind. I don't much like the sneak attack, but turn about is fair play. After they attack me, WAR is declared! Our once peaceful house becomes the center of upheaval as I chase the attacker, and the attacker chases me back. Things get tipped ofur, knocked down, and yes, broken sometimes. I like the game of chase, even if I am sometimes at the losing end. Meowmy says that "chase" is good exercise fur all of us. I nefur really thought of it that way. I hope that you have a nice holiday. Is Josie going away also? I look forward to reading all about it in your Diary when you get back.
