Arrival Story:
I went to the local Humane Society to get a cat, because we finally lived in a place that allowed pets. After bracing myself to go in the shelter (I wanted to take them all home), I selected a cat. The HS told me I couldn't take him home, even though my apartment complex was listed as allowing pets. ??? I didn't understand, and I cried a lot. A few weeks later we were doing laundry at a laundromat when we saw a sign. "Free Cats" We called. The people had two cats (probably brother and sister). The cats were found in an abandoned apartment without any food or water for a long time. The man who did the cleaning of the apartments found them and took them home. He couldn't keep them - they already had dogs and children. So, we chose one - and thus, Babydoll was adopted.
