Arrival Story:
I went into Petsmart and volunteers of the PALS adoption organization were there and they asked me if I wanted to come back. I was really interested in a Russian Blue kitten, but as I passed Bob he walked over to the front of the cage. So, I stopped and opened his cage and he bumped my head with his head. That was all it took! He came to live with my Mom and I February 11, 2004. The rescue organization called him Calypso, but I changed his name to Bob, after my favorite Bob Dylan, he seems to like it.

Bio:
Bob was a stray cat before he came to live with my Mom and I. He doesn't like to be picked up and held too often. He likes his space. He has become more lovey since Dylan came to live with us. Now he will lay beside him and clean him until Dylan decides it's time to play and jumps on Bob. He wakes either Mom or I up in the morning to be fed by staring at us really close to our faces. He also thinks it's always time to eat, if I leave for a hour, when I come back he thinks it's time to eat again. He also loves the cat tv videos! He likes to curl up with someone on the recliner and relax. I think since he had to fend for himself outside, he's content to sleep and eat as long as he's safe and comfortable. He loves to bump your head and weave around your legs. Everyday he gets a little more loving.

Mom's Project

Recently Mom has been calling me her project. I am not very loving, well I guess I am, but not in the way Mom is used to. She is always trying to get me to sit on her lap or let her hold and pet me. I am so not having that! This weekend I was letting her pet me and she said she was sorry. She decided that she wants to learn to give me love the way I want it, not the way she thinks it should be given. I let her know when I want to be alone by smacking her, but I think if we keep trying, she will get to know me better and I won't have to smack her. I know she loves me and always has. She said this will help her with people too. Although I don't get people at ALL, they make no sense, she wants to give this a try. She says I'm teaching her a lesson that she can use forever and that makes me want to purr (and then smack her)!

My Mom's duplex is being sold, so there are all sorts of new people walking through. Dylan runs under the bed, but I have to be ready. I slink around with my belly close to thr ground and ears down about three feet away from the intruder and watch them around corners. If they even try to shut me in another room, I hurdle anything in my way to get out before they even finish closing the door. Mom tells me that I will love the new place (when we find one) and not to worry. But, I will continue to watch the intruders very closely!!!!! I have to protect my family!

Mind Tricks

Tonight I wanted dinner early, but Mom asked me if I could wait. So, I did. But, then it was dinner time and she was watching VH1's 100 greatest rock and roll bands. So, I stared at her, trying to put a telepathic message in her mind to feed me. All of a sudden she looked at me and jumped up saying how sorry she was and fed me (and Dylan) right away!!!
