Well furends, I have to be honest, admit the truth, come clean, air the laundry, lift the covers, shine the light in. Ready, here it comes: It's not that bad being a good cat! There I said it! Yeah I know, weird. You were expecting another trouble with Rumpy story. Let me tell ya what happened.

Pops has been taking me out on my harness to work off my energy so I behave. Just yesterday I went out. Wow it was cold. Blowing in my fur. That is really kind of scary too. Strange sounds. Whoosh, creak, rustle, rustle, creak, whoosh, swish! I would walk a couple of steps and then hunker down.

Then it happened! Right there below my feet! I found a really great stinky spot! I rolled all around in it. Sniff, roll, meow, purr, sniff, roll, meow, purr, sniff, roll, meow, purr... Pops says time to go in.

NOOOOOOO! I wanted to sniff, roll, meow, and purr more! Aw shucks! I kicked a leaf with my paw. No, I felt cranky! I Flopped, he pulled, No, I Flopped, No... He grabs my harness and hustles me in the door. NO FAIR! Those darn opposable thumbs.

So yeah I know this was supposed to be about being good. Well I was once we got in the vestibule I went right to our door. I went upstairs, let him take my harness off and I was good all night. I played nice and more importantly slept in my spot and was good.

So there it is. Rumpy the Good Cat. Who would have thought.

The truth is being good is not bad. Or is that it's not bad being good? Hmmm... I have both sides to look at now. Bad and good. Good and bad. So now with this knowledge at my paws a decision has been made. From now on I will be...

It's the outside thing man...if I do not go out on my harness for my walkie almost daily, I get a bit....ahem naughty. Us outdoorsie mancats like to sniff the air & patrol our property. Just sayin.....

Love the story Rumpy! I know it was hard to pull away from the stinky spot - just got to love them. But meowmie does the same thing with me when I scratch at her chair she knows I need some thing, usually a good play session to wipe me out!

I don't know what it's like to be good either. What kind of harness do you have? I'm in the market for one mama says and now that it's snowing I really wish I could go out - kind of, MOL.
