Mrowwwwww!September 21st 2006 7:25 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Mrowwww! I feel like making that noise a lot today! You see, I have some post-traumatic sress issues from these bad people who were really mean to me when I was a lot younger. I've been having my flashbacks a lot today. Mom is worried like always but she's always good for some hugs and tunafish! Oh, gee, I love tunafish! Mmm! I hate sharing with my new sister, Jagger, though. She's nuts. She can get her own darn tunafish.

 The first day you came into my life, I realized you had changed it. "I want that one," I said, pointing to the silver cage in the adoption center that contained you. It was your sad and desolate face that got me, the fact you weren't trying to draw attention to yourself like the other cats. We brought you home and you hid under the bed without coming out for days. We'd pry you out, try to feed you, but you'd rather hide. I'll never forget the first time you came out of hiding: you sat on the computer desk and just stared at us. "Now what?" you seemed to be asking. From then on, we established the kind of relationship with you that I never thought to be possible. You filled every void in our life and then some. I remember getting the phonecall from the woman who requeted the information of the family who adopted you (that'd be us), because she wanted to tell us how she had found you. I listened as she told me what that man did to you, the way he had you tied to a tree and beat you. I cried my eyes out that night and held you in my arms so tightly no matter how much you whined to be free. That was the first night you slept in our bed with us. It's as if in your own way, you wanted me to know that you were okay and in turn wanted to make sure I was okay. It'll almost be two years since you came into our life. It's almost as if I never knew life until you came into it with your silly pink nose and your big ears. What would I do without you, miss Landon? I never want to know.
Sister, Sister!October 13th 2005 8:08 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Life with my new sister is going okay. Sometimes I even like to play with her. I'll admit it, sometimes I miss her when she's sleeping in the bedroom and I decide to sleep on the other side of the apartment. Yes, mommy even caught us giving kissies to one another. She thought it was cute but I got all angry. I'm not all mushy! I'm tough. Trust me, I still am willing to slap Hadley around if she gets in my way!

I had my surgery.September 3rd 2005 5:42 pm[ Leave A Comment ] I had my surgery and am feeling better.
MOVED!August 16th 2005 5:03 pm[ Leave A Comment ] We moved! I wasn't sure what that word meant other than mommy and daddy shoveling me into my kitty-taxi and then into the car! We got here and I was real scared at first, looking around and exploring -- mainly under the bed! Then, I got to really liking it! I had my very own kitty-condo waiting, my scratch post, and a whole chest of toys which mommy labeled "Landon's Toy Chest!" I had fun exploring the contents of that chest! We also have a really cool patio that mommy and daddy let me go play on, if I wear my leash and they can come, too! Now, I love it! I'm having so much fun!
It's my party and I'll meow if I want to!August 4th 2005 8:01 am[ Leave A Comment ] Today I turned three years old! Mommy, daddy, my aunt Megan and my grandma and grandpa were all waiting for me to wake up this morning! Mommy put me into my party dress which I hated, despite all her "oohing" and "awwing" that I looked cute in it -- so I kicked it off and moved on to the next event -- my cake! Mommy had made me a cake out of tuna, with mushed up pieces of my favorite cat treats in it! She made 'frosting' out of tuna flavored kitty gravy and oh boy, did I devour that! It was so yummy! Oh, I forgot to mention -- my whole family embarassed me by singing a round of 'Happy birthday to you...' before the cake eating! After that, my daddy played string with me which is my favorite game! My mommy petted me and gave me snuggles which I love to do with her! Mommy and daddy bought me a new kitty condo -- only, they left it in Orlando at their apartment because they forgot we'd be here at my grandma and grandpas for my birthday! But that's okay, that just means when we go back, I'll have a cool new gift waiting for me! I'm so tuckered out. I had a good old time!
I'm nuts...literally.August 1st 2005 3:10 pm[ Leave A Comment ] My grandpa feeds the bluejays outside raw peanuts, and keeps them in a bag by the front door. I got into them this afternoon -- no, I didn't eat them. I decided to toss them around, jump on them, spin around, yell at them and there were peanuts everywhere! Mommy said it was too funny to be mad at, though!

Hello, this is Landon speaking.June 30th 2005 9:58 pm[ Leave A Comment ] I answered the phone today, and my mommy is still in shock. What? Did she think I was stupid before? I'm quite smart, so certainly I know how to answer a phone. Someone called on the phone, and mommy had left the receiver in her bedroom where I was napping. When they picked up the other phone in the kitchen, all they heard was my meowing. (Well, duh, I had answered the phone -- shouldn't I talk into it?). So, mommy walked into her room to see me in front of the phone, meowing into the receiver. I don't know why shes so surprised (and oddly weirded out) -- I told them I was a smart kitty!
