We got the results back on the "mass" in my mouth that was surgically removed last week. It was NON-CANCEROUS!!!! :-)
Yay!!
I'm healing up very nicely and am eating well and back to my old self. I have a post surgery checkup scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
Thank you all for your purrs. They were greatly appreciated.
Love,
"The Monkey"
No rosies please....but comments are welcomed :-)

I was rescued about 4 months ago. I acquired my name because "deputy dad" was working a "major" accident when I suddenly ran from nowhere right up to him, crossing three lanes of traffic and almost getting run over.
I have my own room with everything I need. I can't mingle with my sibs (Maytag, Kassy & Kayleigh) because I like to fight with them nonstop....especially my new brother Maytag! He outweighs me by almost 10 pounds but I love how little ol' me can make him run and cry like a little girl! Mommy and Daddy call me "Monkey" because I climb and jump on everything and I am never quiet. Daddy tells mommy that she needs to stop calling me "Monkey" because I will never learn my real name.
In other news....I'm 7 months old now. Mommy took me to the vet two weeks ago because she "thought" I had tapeworms. Turns out it was a false alarm, but during the examination, the vet found a 'mass' about the size of a marble growing in my mouth from under my tongue. He didn't know if it was an abcess or a tumor, so he put me on antibiotics. Day before yesterday, mommy and daddy took me back in to be re-checked and there was NO change in the 'mass', so mommy opted to have it surgically removed.
I went into surgery yesterday morning. Just prior to mommy picking me up yesterday afternoon, I bit my tongue and had blood on my paws and face. The vet wasn't able to clean me up before mommy's arrival because I wouldn't let him or any of his staff touch me again! I growled like a big mean lion and threatened to bite any of them if they so much as put a hand near me! I even growled at mommy when she came to pick me up.
Anyway, the vet doesn't know if the 'thing' is cancerous or not so it is being sent to a lab and we should know something next week.
I have to take antibiotcs (again) and also some pain medication every 12 hours. I do something weird since I've returned home from surgery....... I keep trying to flip my water bowl over. Mommy doesn't understand why I just started doing this. She has to keep a big bath towel under my bowl because I keep making a mess with the water.
Anyway.....thats what's going on in my life at the moment. Please don't send your rosies to me, but all comments, purrs and friendship requests are welcomed :-)
