From Liam's Mom:

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since we wrote-- Liam celebrated his 8 month birthday six days ago but around that time he was starting to not feel too good.

Today he went to the vet with Dad. I was terribly nervous. He had diarrhea, was fatigued, wasn't eating as much(and completely abandoned eating his wet food), had some wheezing, and some bad gas and bloating around the stomach. It all came on very sudden-- last night being the worst. He even had this weird "tick" where he started shaking his head. After 4 hours of sleep and much worrying the results are in:

We're not really sure what Liam has. He had a fever :(, and was put on an IV because he was dehydrated. He got fresh blood work done and shots too. From what my fiancee said, he really hated the shots but blood work is good. They are still at the vet so I'm not sure which shots he got. I just can't believe my poor baby had an IV and fever. When the vet squeezed Liam, apparently there was so much gas.

Right now, he has deworming pills and new food-- we've always given Liam the very best food in controlled portions and times because he does have a sensitive stomach. Either he has worms or he is actually sick with something. He's been dewormed and I haven't seen visible signs of worms but honestly even that would be a blessing over something more serious. If he isn't better in 3 days, he's going back in.

I'm praying it's not something more serious and that he does get better. Naturally my worst fear is and was FIP because he was very bloated and sick. But I'm also a worry-wart.

Thanks for all your prayers-- it's making me feel better. I came home with my dad a few hours ago and hide under the couch for over an hour. I didn't fit very well because I was bloated with fluids from the iv and my tummy but I was really scared. The vet doesn't think it's worms but I was dewormed anyways. I have pills to help my poos and my shots were to make my belly feel better and for my diarrhea to get firm. I got special food and I ate almost 3 whole oz of my food today. Mom and Dad were really happy, especially because I liked it since it was wet food and I haven't wanted that for the last few days. I had a fever of over 104 :( too. The vet says that if I don't get better I'll have to go back in to see what else it could be. Thank you again all so much... Mom and Dad really appreciate the prayers and so do I. It's so sweet :) Thank you... Mom will keep everyone updated.

Thanks for all the prayers and purrs! I am finally feeling better today! Normal poops finally! I still have to take my pill for a few more days but I actually don't mind it... Mom just tells me it is a treat and I eat it. It must be the kitten in me still! MOL I slept a lot but Mom thinks my temp has gone down because my ears don't feel as hot. She even was able to give me some of my normal food which I was really happy about! I hope I don't have to go back in! We'll see but I'm on the road to recovery :) It must have been all my fur friends and kitty angels praying for me...
