Having his head scratched, like a puppy.
He does not like children getting up in his face and loving on him too much.
Toy mice. He proudly brings them to my feet.
Favorite Nap Spot:
Under my bed. Or under the couch. He likes his privacy for napping.
He eats Purina Indoor Cat Formula.
I went to the shelter to adopt a cat, though not necessarily that day. I fell in love. With two of them. I tried really hard to decide between Hawthorne and Wally. The director said that I could adopt two, but I laughed and said my house was too small.
Since Wally seemed a little nervous around my two year old, so I chose the other one. After paperwork was signed and he was loaded into my carrier, I went to get my daughter away from the cats. She was cuddled right up to Wally in the catio. They had the same color of hair, and she asked to take him, and my heart melted. I said we already had picked the other kitty, so we left with him.
I soon realized that Hawthorne needed a companion kitty, and I could not get the image of my daughter and Wally saying goodbye out of my head. So I worked out the logistics of becoming a multi-cat home. And then I contacted the shelter, who was glad to adopt Wally out to me.
And that's how I became Wally's guardian. He's a great fit for my home.
Wally had been taken in and raised as an indoor cat with his two sisters after being born to a stray cat on a farm. At 7-8 months of age, they were brought to a shelter.
They all three were very sweet cats, and if I had room in my house, I would have adopted all of them together.
