All you other kitties will sympathize with this one. Yesterday my mommy's friend came over and usually they just do some repair stuff around the house or go out somewhere. See he's mommy's ex-boyfriend of 8 years but they are still the bestest of friends and he lives across the street. He keeps his motorcycle in our garage for the winter and in return he snowblows the driveway and stuff for grampy.
Anyways! Once in awhile he comes over and they both do something we HATE. They steal our toenails! He holds me on his lap and well, it's not all that bad actually. He gives me lots of kissies and mommy is super careful when cutting my nails. She kisses each foot after she's done and me and Finney get treats after. I'm better about it than Finney is. He goes running into his tower and hides. Mom used to trick him with treats to come out but that doesn't work anymore. So she doesn't fool around, she just goes in there and says "come on out big boy, let's go". MOL. She just drags him out of there and says "oh my big baby boy!" and kisses him. Don't worry, she doesn't hurt him when she does that, she's very gentle.
He's becoming such a wimp. Although he's always the first one down the stairs to go and visit with grampy and grammy. I guess we both have our separate things that make us nervous. Not too much right now, mom says she hopes as we get older we don't become nervous nellies. I know Nelly! She's a pawsome friend, she doesn't look nervous to me. Nelly are you nervous? So mom said our nails need to be cut because we're always gouging her. Every night when I get on top of her back and give her massagees I stab her and she says pretty soon when she drinks water, it will all come leaking out everywhere, MOL!
And as much as I hate having my nails trimmed, I like to see them go flinging across the room, MOL. I'm like "what was that! let me get it, let me down!" MOL! It's the little things that amuse me. Hey! spring is here! Whoo hooo! We're gonna have to change our backgrounds again. Mom's been doing spring cleaning the last couple of days. Lots more to come she said. Yipee! NOT! The great part is that we have the windows open and the birdies are coming back in the yard. Mom says as soon as the rest of the filthy snow in the yard melts, she'll go clean up the area and put the bird bath back out there. THEN watch dem birdies come flying back over here! That always does it. Oh and the windchimes we always hang at the top of our stairway. They love that too.
I hope you're all having a beautiful spring day and not getting your toenails cut! She's also trying to brush our toofies now. Thanks a lot Leo! This is all your fault for having such nice pearly white toofies! That is just not helping the rest of us. Sheesh!

I cannot tell you what a shock this is to hear that Hazel Lucy has gone to the bridge. My feels like she's in a nightmare with so many sick kitties and ones crossing lately but this, THIS is too much. We don't even know what to say. When we came to Catster Hazel was one of our first friends. It took awhile for us to get to know each other but we fell in love with her and her mommy very quickly. We will ALWAYS be there for her mom and we know that Hazel will make the utmost wonderful and special angel kitty that ever existed. Words fail me, they really do.
I just know that everyone's diary today will be paying homage to that special girl, and rightfully so. A pillar of strength, concern for everyone else, love and support, FUN...OMC how much fun she is! Hazel made the word poopies into a complete new language here for us!
It's just unimaginable that this is happening and we hope that her journey was smooth and beautiful. She deserves nothing less. She is the Queen of Catster and now she's the queen of heaven. Love you Hazel Lucy! Our hearts are breaking. We love you and your momma very much. Thank you for always being here for us, for helping us to spread the word about IBD and helping other kitties. We'll see you when you're ready to come back with your giant, beautiful wings.
Pray for her momma, she's gonna need it. And she's gonna need us.

Hi everyone! Can you please purr hard for our furriends in Mexico? Little Jerry and his sisfur Princess, and their family. My momma is very good friends with their momma, Diana. And things are horrible in the city where they live in Monterrey. That used to be a safe place to be with all this drug violence and killings going on but not anymore. They're scared for their lives. They don't have money to leave Mexico but may have to flee. Diana hears gunshots right outside of her house every day and they have a little boy named Alef. She's scared for him, for all of them. Here's a first hand news report on how bad it is there:
Diana is a wonderful kitty momma and rescued little Jerry off the street last year. He's thriving and alive because of her. She was rescuing a friend he had made outside too this past winter but that poor kitty got hit by a car and didn't make it. Diana was very upset, she loves animals. I'll try and get a picture of little Jerry up on my page. He's SOOOO cute! Two different colored eyes.
Anyways, I was thinking since Finney did that purring for peace diary a little while ago we could do one special for our furriends there. we'd really appreciate it. Thank you in advance. My momma is furry worried.
Luv you all, Lacey

Hi everybody, this is little Cleo. Please go and visit her and her momma. This poor little tiny angel was sent to the bridge today because of FIP. Ugh, my momma can hardly stand to think about it, our eyes are both leaking. Her poor mom doesn't have many friends yet, she was very new. Please rally like we know you guys ALWAYS do and go and give her some love and support. She's devastated!
Thanks you guys
We love you all dearly

Hurray! Egypt is free after all of this chaos and turmoil. What brave people to keep banding together and not give up for their rights to a free and democratic country! That's pawsome. Check out my new song by Kool & the Gang on my page! Sing along with us and celebrate!
In other news, guess what! I'm one happy girl because last night my wonderful friend and the most handsome kitty Gump said he would be my valentine. I just love Gumpy for so many reasons and I don't mind at all that he's an older man. In fact, it makes him distinguished and wise. I like that in a kitty man. He's doing a lot better these days with his pancreatitis and we will continue to purr loud for him because he deserves to be happy, healthy and live for a long time to come! So that's my other celebration, Gumpy is my valentine!!!! Whoo hoo! I'm so excited.
It's still cold here, quite sick of that. Spring cannot come soon enough. Mom can't wait to get back out into her garden and we can't wait until the windows are open and we can chatter at the birds again.
My cousin kitty Midnight was sick yesterday and scared everybody. She was bleeding from her bladder and her momma had to come home and take her to the vet. They thought it was thyroid disease but the vet just called and said it's a bad infection with a high WBC count. Her momma will pick up some medicine for her later today and for now she's on a bland diet and feeling a little better. She's laying on the windowsill in the sun next to grammy and grampy. Mom keeps going down to do laundry and stops to give her a ton of kisses each time and tell her how much she loves her.
Oh my momma, loves us kitties all so much. After losing Middy's brofur in December that was scary. Mom still misses him very, very much and thinks about him all the time. She was quite upset yesterday to think that Middy might have something really bad. But this is the second time in 2 months and she lost a full pound in that time! So many purrs for Midnight would be very much appreciated if you all can spare them. She had Clavamox last time and it didn't do a darned thing for her. I hope she gets better medicine this time. That one made her even more sick!
Thanks everyfur and we hope you all have a great weekend!
Luv and kisses to my sweet Gumpy!

Guess what Meowies! I'm Cat of the Month on Meowing out Loud! Which is purrfect for me really because that's all I ever do! MOL! What an honor and so very nice of all my furriends there.
It's still cold here and we're still sick of it. As I'm sure everyone is. Mom said her skin is itchy and she's sick of wearing 3 layers of clothes! She's had a hard time sitting at the compuper lately and trying to concentrate to work on our website. She gets lots of headaches and right now her sinuses are KILLING her. I don't know why those sinus things would want to hurt my momma but they better cut it out or I'm going to meow even louder! That should make my mommy feel better...NOT! MOL!
Oh Jeez! I almost forgot to talk about the neat Valentine I got from Gentleman Jack. Oooh boy is he a handsome boycat! Finney got a little jealous but I live with him so it's no biggy. Anyways, thank you handsome Jack! I love my valentine!
In other news, you know how we just lost our cousin kitty Moufasa in early December? Well at first his sisfur Midnight was having a grand old time, enjoying her freedom from all the bugging her he used to do. Not anymore. She's very lonely, she's not eating, losing weight and doesn't seem to care anymore. My momma is trying everything she can think of. She's giving her an appetite stimulant pill and trying hard to get her to eat. It's breaking momma's heart because she's still very sad about Mouffey. He was a real character and was super funny and talkative. Sigh. Seems momma's heart is always breaking. I don't know how it stays together sometimes. Hopefully it's me and Finney keeping it glued.
We've been cuddling with her at night on her warm bed with the electric blanky on. Nice and cozy. She loves that. She stares at us and tells us how cauuutttte we are. We flip over on our backs and let her rub our bewwies. It's all we can do for her really.
Please purr for Midnight, mom is trying her hardest to help her and grammy and grampy adore her. Thanks everyfur! Hope you have a pawsome day.

Hi everyone, we had to think hard about which one us should put this in their diary. Alex usually does because she's the one who suffered so much with these diseases and lost her battle and as you know, she's the warrior of helping other kitties now. But Gumpy is very special to me and even though Finney, Alex and myself all love him equally, he's one of my tuxie bestest furriends and I need very much to send him as many purrs and purrayers as possible right now.
Gump is diabetic, he's been doing very well for a long, long time. But recently he developed pancreatitis and unfortunately this is a very painful and scary condition as it flares up out of no where and for no good reason. It can lead to a lot of complications as the pancreas is a tricky and hard to deal with organ.
He's not doing well right now, he's not eating, he's sleeping a lot and he's vomiting and has bad diarrhea. Not like him at all. He's seeing an internal medicine specialist vet on Monday and we really need to purr that they figure out exactly what's happening and are able to help him. Please send giant purrs and purrayers for our wonderful and handsome friend Gump. My momma is praying too.
Gumpy! Help is on the way! Open your paws and let yourself feel the hugs and kisses from all of us. We love you so very, very much!
Luv Lacey and family

Okay, since I put up a very nice song yesterday supporting the people of Egypt and their revolution, things have changed drastically today. Too much violence, killing, war, etc. COME ON! What is wrong with hoomans!
We put up a new song that used to be a favorite of my momma's. In fact she used to sing this in her band awhile back. It's called Lay Down Your Arms. Check it out. It says "why you want to go and shoot love to the ground"? It's a great song.
Purring for peace out there! Is there anybody listening!!!??? PURRING FOR PEACE DARN IT! MOL! STOP FIGHTING!!!!

Well, we thought in honor of the people in Egypt risking their lives for democracy and a better life for their people, we would put up a song by Tracy Chapman on our mixpod. Go to our profile page and scroll down. She says it best.
We have it good here in the US, no matter what obstacles we face and how much that yes, things could be a lot better, we have it good. $2.00 a day! Can you imagine trying to live your whole life on $2.00 a day while your president is living in luxury and smirking down at you for 30 years? Nope, not us!
People are rising up and taking control of their lives. We purr for their safety and victory and wish them nothing but the best. Everyone is entitled to be free.
Purring for peace and freedom!

DOH! Simone just tagged me. I don't know how the heck I'm going to follow her answers on this because they were too funny! Okay, name the 5 most annoying things your humans do, then tag 5 others to keep it going. Who boy, that'll be tough! Momma annoys me a lot sometimes.
1) Tells me to shut up when I start howling and meowing for no reason because I'm bored out of my little kitty skull.
2) Shuts the door on me when she's trying to watch tv and I keep meowing really loud and whining.
3) Sits on this darn computer all day helping other kitties. Although that's very nice, we want MORE MOMMA!
4) Picks me up and squishes me in her arms. Sometimes I like it but usually I don't. I squirm like Houdini trying to get out of a straight jacket.
5) When she DOESN'T PLAY WITH ME!
That's really all I can think of. Most of the time I love momma and I'm like glue. So you might want to ask her this question instead of me. MOL!
Time to tag:
That was tough to choose! But I think I got good ones.
