Lymphoma treatment update

Pipo & Minko Hi Pipo and Minko, thank you so much for purring for me.. momma and me really really appreciate it so much and we know that every purrrrr helps... this was just a very sudden thing.. we are hoping it can be corrected with my clavimox doses i get twice a day.. momma is watching me though to see how i am , hoping i dont have to go to emergency.... If i am ok during the weekend mom will bring me in monday to oncology .. even though i dont have an appointment, they know my situation.. so mom is hoping i can be ok through the weekend and early monday bring me in to oncology since they know my case.. if i went to emergency, they would have to recreate the wheel and i cant go through any major testing so its best i go through oncology.. so mom hoping that we can do that... Hi Sweet Gracie, I am sorry you are not feeling well. Did the vet check your pancreas levels? That is a separate test done with your blood. That can really make us feel sick. Are you on prednisolone? I bet you are. That helps too. Also, some fresh, warm chicken might smell good to you and get you to eat. Some kitties like human baby food too. Thanks Misha for the ideas, momma went out and bought some chicken breast and is boiling it now and will shred it for Gracie... she also bought some albacore tuna in water as well as picked up some baby food and some non flavored pedialite. she is not sure how to administer the pedialite though, a tiny bit through a syringe? Mom gives me fluids daily since i am not eating and drinking much. I ate a little bit today but not a lot.. Mom is hoping i eat the chicken and if that doesnt work she will try the tuna next. Momma really doesnt want to take me to emergency unless its really bad .. i dont wanna go thru all kind of tests with doctors not familiar with my situation, so mom is hoping i am ok through the weekend so she can bring me in on monday. She is not sure what they can do since no one really knows whats going on. They did do blood test and pancreas levels are ok and on ultrasound they looked ok, the write up said mild pancreatic changes .. and mild changes around kidney but nothing major on ultrasound. The only real way to determine if my lymphoma came back is via CT scan but i am not strong enough to undergo anesthesia... even when i was strong the first time i had a CT scan, my blood pressure dropped to dangerous levels and they had to abort the testing and save the next group of tests ( at the time the ultrasound and chest xray had to be done another day). So mom is not going to have me put under.. so i am not sure how they can tell whats going on. Maybe they will just give me chemo again if they rule evertyihng else out, i dont know.. mom has to talk to the doctors. well thank you everyone for purrrring and praying.. mom is with me most of the day trying to encourage me to eat.. and keep me company. Momma got worried about me and brought me to the local emergency last night just to make sure there was nothing serious going on sincei looked so tired and wasnt eating. They took my vitals, listened to my lungs and said they think also based on what they heard ( sniffles) that its prob an upper respitory infection and they gave me an injection of an anti nausea medicine... I was bright and alert and they said i didnt loose any weight.. and they gave me a different appetitze stimulant although mom doesnt like it because it made me too sleepy. So i did eat a little today, not a lot.. but i walked to the food dish on my own so that was good although i didnt eat a lot, i still ate a little. So mom is just watching me closely, giving me my sub q fluids daily ( 50-75 cc daily only since i am little), and soon i return to my oncologist for followup, but depending on how i do , mom may bring me sooner, it depends on how i am observed.. anyway, i really appreciate your purrs so much, it means so much to know others are thinking of me and purring for me... I am in my tunnel now resting... i have turkey in there with me but i am just resting now.. i usually dont eat at night anyway.. Thank you so much for your purrrrrrrrs..... Love, Gracie Girl |
