Severian's Monologues
So sad my peeps think I'm sickMay 19th 2011 10:11 pm[ Leave A Comment | 7 people already have ]
My peeps took me to the vet today, because I'm acting sort of weird. I'm not eating much, and when I do eat I take a loooooong time. Also I'm even needier and clingier than usual. I cry to be picked up.
Leave A Comment | 7 people already have I hope you feel better soon Severian! Purrhaps a change in your routine, like a walk on a leash outside or a new cat tree or grooming time and new treats...new cat bed or toy...anything to shake it up a bit.. My Mama had to do this for Redd Catt after they moved. He became depressed and had the same symptoms you do..plus he pulled out his belly hair..she said it took about two weeks of doing things out of his routine then he started eating and playing again. We're purring for you to feel better soon, Severian. Perhaps there is something in this article that will help your peeps help you: When Cats Grieve Purrrrring like crazy for you, Severian. Extra hugs are always a great prescription. We hope you feel better soon. Sweetie, did the vet do a blood panel on you to make sure nothing else is going on. I'm sure you are grieving Onyx, but there may be something else going on you DON'T want to ignore. If all else fails, you need to be on appetite stimulants for a bit. You cannot afford to lose weight and get worse!!! You gotta eat Sev. My Mom has gone bonkers with me not eating. But at the same time, I am sure you miss Onyx too. Humans don't feel so great & stuff when they lose someone either. I hope you aren't sick or anything like that, and you start to feel better right quick. I got breakfast in bed the last 2 days....works pretty good!! Sev, Maybe having a friend would help? Mommy tells people who's kitties are grieving that having a nice new friend can take the mind off the missing of the friend who's crossed. No one can take Onyx's place, but maybe having someone new to dance the shadows with will help? |
