Arrival Story:
When we rented a house, we were allowed to have one cat and no dogs. We went to the local SPCA, looked over the cats, and went home to think about it. I don't think she was originally our first choice, but she grew on us during our second visit, and we took her home that day. That was back in 1997. After 11 great years with her, Sassay passed away on 12-30-08. We'll miss her so much, but we know she's now at peace.

Bio:
We pronounce her name 'Sassy.' The SPCA had it spelled 'Sassay' - we weren't sure if it was just a misspelling, or if it was supposed to be pronounced Sass-Say. We thought about changing it to the common spelling, but she's kind of quirky, so we kept the extra letter.
