Vet visits, feeling a little better, boring new diet

Well, yesterday night I got taken to the vet. It was 'Big Vet' and she was very glad to see me! The good news is I have not lost weight.
Big vet says I probably got cellulitis from the fluid under my skin. I was in rare form, hissing and growling and carrying on. This amuses my daddy and Big Vet, as I don't bite or scratch, just complain alot.
I also had my fluids changed. For everyone human who gives their kitties fluids, please know that the fluids can go bad if not given every day. Big vet gave new smaller bags of fluids that need to be in the fridge once opened, and then bought to room temp once given.
I now have to take icky flagyl too. And I'm on low residue diet. Yucky.
I was a good girl, though. Glen, the tech for the evening admired me. He and I are friends. He thinks I'm very pretty. He told me the cat before me was only 6 lbs, very very pretty longair yellow cat. She came in a little pink carrier.
She looked real cute.
When they opened the carrier door she came out like a Medusa, and screamed and scratched and bited. They needed 2 techs to hold her.
So I guess for all my noise they didn't mind me.
After the exam the doctor put me on the floor, and let me walk around. I explored, I marked things with my cheek. She said that I wasn't as miserable as my mom thought, if I was busy investigating and marking. She said that I look good, but she thought it was a combination of the bad weather-100 degrees and my tummy getting upset. I don't have diahrhea now, but she wants me on flagyl for a few days to get rid of any bad bacteria taht might be in my body.
So now I'm stretched out on the couch, and I am feeling sorta better.

Girl that is some good news we were thinking about you often last night after we read your earlier diary and again this morning before we got a chance to get on here and see how were doing. I am doing well, feeling better every day.

my stars girl, of course you are gorgeous, the vet tech better NOT say differently....and happy I am for you that you had the sense ta mark the entire office; next cat that walks in there will KNOW bella's been there and rules ....we can wait until like friday to shop, the sales usually are better during the weekend anymew...I am very happy you're starting to feel better; sorry about the diet change tho...ugh....

Sorry you had to go to that nasty vet place! I hate it too! You and I are so alike -- I hiss and spit a lot but never bite or scratch and all in all, am pretty well behaved. :)) So glad you're feeling better and the diarrhea stopped. Flagyl -- yuck yuck yuck!!! You'll be so happy when you don't have to take that anymore! Glad your tummy feels better too but so sorry that you have to eat bland food. :( Thank you for letting us know about the subq fluids. Mommy keeps mine unrefrigerated and it should keep for a few weeks after being opened but she was also told that if the water looks cloudy, not to use it. My bag also needs to be kept covered up and away from the sun and light cause it has vitamins in it. Mom worries about it, but the vet tech who gives me my fluids knows what to look out for.

Flagyl, that's the banana yucky stuff, isn't it. Maybe they wouldn't have dared give it to you if you behaved worse.

I'm glad your diarrhea stopped.

Purring that you continue getting better and that this round of vet visits for you and Ruffy will be over with soon because you're both doing well.
