My ex picked her from the pound. We were told she was a neutered male. Well, she was NOT male and NOT neutered, as we discovered to our chagrin when her belly began to bulge! Sadly, we could not let her have her kittens as she had an infection. But we had just adopted Corky, and after she healed from her operation, for a while she not only dragged him around by the nape of the neck -- even though he was almost as big as she was and would drag on the floor as she determinedly struggled along -- she nursed him too! He loved it, of course. Now she is gracious enough to tolerate his presence in her life and when she feels REALLY generous, she will even play a little with him.
When my ex and I split she wanted to take Jonas, but fortunately that did not work out, so she is still with me, Corky, and Boo (whom you can visit on Dogster!).
Bio:
We got Jonas when she was 5 months old. Apparently she'd been adopted by a family who brought her back because she was too hyper. (Umm--kitten--what do you expect?!) Well, their loss was our gain! :)
