Fancy Feast gourmet chicken and Fancy Feast gourmet tuna snapper and prawns. She also loves human food, steak is her favourite.

Skills:
She can do tricks but her most special skills are the way she looks after her whole family including her chronically ill sister Sophie.

Arrival Story:
This is how Misty tells the story: "My family had just lost a stray cat that they had taken in and weren't looking for another cat. They were too upset. However their youngest daughter Sophie had to go to the SPCA for a school project and as Sophie was doing her research I saw my chance. I could tell they were a wonderful family so I went to the front of my cage and meowed and made as much noise as I could. Sophie's sister Mishla was walking right by me and she couldn't resist me. She told her family to come quick and look at me and that was it-everybody fell in love with me and we've all been very happy ever since!!"

Bio:
Misty has had some challenges in her life but this hasn't stopped her being the sweetest, kindest, most amazing cat in the world. Misty had an FCE (spinal stroke) in late 2005 which left her paralysed halfway down her back to the end of her tail. Thankfully with lots of hard work and patience she managed to learn how to walk again. Her balance can sometimes be a bit off, and she never regained full nerve function in her back legs but she is a very happy, active girl all the same. In 2008 she got nerve damage in her front left paw. Her specialists thought it may have to be amputated as she couldn't walk on it. However with time and medication it came right-she can now walk and put weight on it well. Misty also has arthritis from before we adopted her. She was abused by her previous family which caused the arthritis. Thankfully we manage it with supplements and things and it hasn't gotten any worse. :) :)
