DIY Project: Cat-Ear Headbands

Cat-ear headbands are the perfect Halloween costume — or just a fun, everyday accessory to show your love for felines. Here’s an easy way to DIY them.

Looking for a fun and quick way to show your love for cats? Try these DIY cat-ear headbands.

What you’ll need:

  • Thin, plastic headbands
  • Felt (you’ll find precut pieces of felt at your local craft store) — I used gray, black, tan and white (and pink for the ears)
  • Scissors
  • Hot-glue gun

Instructions:

  1. Fold the felt in half, then cut out two small triangles, making sure the bottom of the triangles are along the fold. Once it’s cut, you’ll have a diamond-shaped piece of felt.
  2. Take your two pieces of felt and fold them over the headband, creating a pair of ears, then put glue around the inner edges and press them together.
  3. Cut two smaller triangles out of the pink felt and glue them to the center of the ears.
