140 Three-Legged Cat Names: Adorable Names For Your Tripod Feline
In this article
Cats have a knack for pushing their physical boundaries, getting themselves into trouble, and usually getting out of it unscathed. Thank goodness for their nine lives! On rare occasions, they don’t escape safely. The resulting injury is usually minor, but tragically, sometimes a major injury, such as the loss of a limb, may occur. Accidents involving cars are one of the main reasons they need to have a limb amputated.
If you have recently adopted a three-legged cat, kudos to you! You are an extraordinary human who will be richly rewarded with unadulterated, grateful kitty love and the lasting appreciation of all the cat lovers in the world!
About That Special 3-Legged Feline
Three-legged kitties are very special felines. Most of them have overcome their handicap with admirable fortitude and humility. Particularly in cats, the loss is more easily accommodated if it is a back leg as their front legs do most of the weight bearing.
Nevertheless, the three-legged puss cat will never be the same as their comrades who have all their limbs. The most marked difference is, of course, visual, but there are often interesting character and personality differences that develop due to their “disability.” It may seem like an illusion, but they almost appear braver and wiser.
With this in mind, your unique and special three-legged kitty deserves a name that embodies these characteristics. We’ve compiled a list of names that we think do just that.
