Persian Kittens for Sale in Kentucky: Breeders List 2025

Silver and golden Chinchilla Persian kittens

Excited Cats advocates for adopting before shopping, though we fully understand there are many reasons for seeking a breeder. So, we encourage it to be done the right way. We have not personally visited or investigated all of the breeders below. We have put the top-recommended all in one place for you to get in touch and make the best decision for you. Learn more about our stance and how to choose the right breeder here.

The Persian cat is one of the most popular felines, and their squished face makes them instantly adorable. There are a few breeders in Kentucky that produce Persian kittens. Typically, these breeders also produce other, similar cats, like Exotics. The number of litters that they have available each year also varies widely. Since there is usually more demand than breeders, you can expect to be on a waiting list for a while before a kitten becomes available.

The 3 Persian Kitten Breeders in Kentucky

1. DJA VuPurrs Cattery

DJA VuPurrs Cattery

  • Lexington, Kentucky

This breeder mostly specializes in Exotics, which are the shorthaired version of Persians. However, they occasionally have purebred Persian kittens, but you may just be on a waiting list for a while. They strive to produce healthy kittens that make great pets. All their cats receive the proper vaccinations and are vetted before going to their new home. They are feline immunodeficiency virus and feline leukemia virus tested. They are a closed cattery to prevent diseases from passing onto their cats.

They are registered with the Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) and the International Cat Association. They are a small home breeder, so they don’t produce many litters each year. Persian litters are even rarer.

2. Tambourine Persians

Tambourine Persians

  • Lexington, Kentucky

For the most part, this breeder produces kittens with the show ring in mind. They breed championship cats to produce kittens that adhere to the breed standard. They specialize solely in Persian cats, unlike many other breeders, which usually breed other felines too.

You do need to call to be put on a waiting list for litters. While they regularly produce litters, many of the cats go into breeding programs. Therefore, you may sit on a waiting list for a while before a kitten is made available to you. This cattery has been in operation since 1990.

3. Eldridge Persians

Eldridge Persians

  • Lost Creek, Kentucky

This cattery specializes in producing kittens for pet purposes. They are a CFA registered cattery and produce all their kittens themselves. They breed Persians regularly, so you’ll likely have better luck with them than with other catteries. Their cats are raised in a stress-free environment and fed a specialized diet.

The breeder visits the vet regularly to ensure that all their cats and kittens are completely healthy. They also offer an in-person delivery service, which involves a representative flying with the kitten in the cabin of an airplane to your location. Of course, this costs more money. You can call or text for current kittens. Currently, it does not seem like they have a waiting list.
