Let’s help find forever homes for rescue cats who need special help like Emma. Please share her story in hopes of finding her the perfect forever home and human.

Rescue cat Emma’s story

Emma’s owner died, and a family member surrendered her to OC Animal Care in Tustin, California. This sweet 10-year-old girl has been at the shelter since August and is having an understandably rough time. Not only has she lost her human, but now she’s in a frightening, unfamiliar place. She’s scared and confused, and has lost some weight while in the shelter. She needs to get out of the shelter environment and find a new home where she’ll be showered with the love she deserves.

If you’re interested in more information about this special girl, please email occrocpetinfo@occr.ocgov.com or call 714-935-6848. Emma’s ID number is A1645582.

Have a cat or kitten looking for a forever home? If your rescue has a cat or kitten waiting too long for a forever home, email us at catstermag@belvoir.com to possibly be featured as Catster’s rescue of the week on Facebook and on our website catster.com. Please put Rescue Cat of the Week in the subject line. We are looking to showcase cats that have waited several months for their forever home or have special needs that make finding the perfect home more challenging. Include the cat(s) name, age, short history and several good photos. Include all contact information for your rescue.
