A nationwide survey of 1,000 cat owners conducted by Cat Person (catperson.com) found that almost 60% of cat owners have leaned on their cat for emotional support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

26% reported an increase in the amount of food or treats they give their cat

57% said they like working remotely so they can spend time with their cat

57% think their cat enjoys having them home more

46% reported an increase in the amount of attention or playtime they give their cat

43% said their cat disrupts their work from home (sometimes with “Zoom bombs”)

  1. I had to go to work regardless because I’m a first responder but I always manage to spend a lot of time with my two cats. In fact that was my reason for getting two in the first place so they could keep each other company when I’m at work. They’re now eleven years old and I’ve had them since they eight weeks old and they fight, wrestle and play with each other like they week eight weeks old!
