Who Makes Pure Harmony and Where Is It Produced?

Pure Harmony is owned by Topco Associates, LLC. From our research, it looks as though its cat food is made in the U.S.A., using ingredients sourced from the U.S.A. and Canada.

Which Types of Cats Is Pure Harmony Best Suited For?

Pure Harmony offers a wide range of different recipes to suit many cats. If you’re looking for a new wet or dry food that’s made in the U.S.A. using high-quality ingredients, then Pure Harmony probably has a recipe to suit your cat.

Hepper NomNom - Spill Proof Elevated Cat Bowl
    • NO MESS - The 360° tray on this cat food and water bowl set has a raised design to catch and...
    • WHISKER FRIENDLY - Shallow and wide metal containers with flat bottoms ensure your kitty can enjoy...
    • CHEW-SAFE MATERIALS - Kittens and cats love chewing on silicone and soft rubber - but it's a choking...

If it’s kibble, wet, or a combination of both that your cat enjoys, choosing the right cat bowl to serve it in goes far beyond presentation. Your cat's comfort is at the forefront with the Hepper NomNom Cat Bowl! The unique design benefits cats in many ways - dual stainless steel bowls are shallow and wide to aid with whisker fatigue and slight elevation for proper posture. The wide catch tray ensures that all food (and water!) stays exactly where you’d expect it to be - inside the bowl! Click here to learn more.

At Catster, we’ve admired Hepper for many years and decided to take a controlling ownership interest so that we could benefit from the outstanding designs of this cool cat company!

Which Types of Cats Might Do Better with a Different Brand?

If your cat needs a specific prescription diet or has particular allergies, they would probably benefit from a limited-ingredient food instead.

Additionally, while some of the Pure Harmony recipes are developed to meet the AAFCO nutritional profiles for all life stages of cats, we think that for kittens in particular, you’d be better off choosing a specific kitten food that’s been enriched with nutrients like DHA and ARA.

    Discussion of the Primary Ingredients

    Real meat

All of Pure Harmony’s recipes use real meat as their first ingredient. This includes salmon, chicken, beef, or turkey. Many brands of cat food these days use low-quality meat meals or meat by-products to bulk out their recipes, and this isn’t the case with Pure Harmony. Some of its recipes contain meat meals, but it states that this is from high-quality sources only.

    Fruits and vegetables

Every one of Pure Harmony’s recipes also contains a blend of fruits and vegetables, designed to add fiber and antioxidants to your cat’s diet. These can include sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, cranberries, apples, blueberries, potatoes, and spinach.

    Grain-free recipes available

If your cat needs a grain-free diet, then the good news is that Pure Harmony offers a range of wet and dry foods that don’t include any grains.

    Some recipes use meat meal

While none of Pure Harmony’s recipes use meat by-products, some of them do use meat meal. This is made by taking remnants from the meat-processing industry and cooking them under high heat before they’re dehydrated into a powder.

Meat meal can be an important protein component of some cat foods, but some owners prefer to avoid it.

Reviews of the 3 Best Pure Harmony Cat Food Recipes

    1. Pure Harmony Chicken & Beef Recipe Pâté

Pure Harmony Chicken & Beef Recipe Pâté feat

This recipe is packed with real meat, with real chicken, chicken broth, and chicken liver as the first three ingredients. The premium ingredients also include real beef and a blend of wholesome fruits and vegetables, like peas, carrots, blueberries, flaxseeds, cranberries, and apples.

While this is formulated for all life stages, it doesn’t contain some of the nutrients that we’d like to see in kitten food, like DHA and ARA. So, while it’s a great choice for adult cats, we’d be tempted to pick something else for kittens. This food is only available in relatively small 5-ounce cans, so if you’re feeding multiple cats, this can end up creating a great deal of waste.

    Calorie Breakdown:

    pure harmony chicken and beef

    Pros
    • Contains 9% protein
    • Chicken as the first ingredient
    • No added wheat, corn, or soy
    • Made in the U.S.A.
    • Contains chicken broth for added hydration
    Cons
    • Contains eggs and peas, which can trigger allergies
    • Only available in small can sizes

    2. Pure Harmony Grain-Free Chicken & Whitefish Recipe Pâté

Pure Harmony Grain-Free Chicken & Whitefish Recipe Pâté second

If you’re looking for a grain-free wet food for your cat, this is a great option. It’s packed full of high-quality ingredients, including chicken, chicken broth, poultry liver, and whitefish. This pâté-style wet cat food provides plenty of hydration due to having chicken broth as the first ingredient.

This wet food is designed to meet the nutritional requirements of adult cats. As well as being free from grains, it doesn’t contain any wheat, soy, or corn. It’s also free from any artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors, so you can be sure that your cat is getting something healthy and wholesome.

    Calorie Breakdown:

pure harmony chicken and white fish

    Pros
    • Contains 9% protein
    • Chicken broth as the first ingredient
    • Free from grains
    • Made in the U.S.A.
    • No artificial colors or flavors
    Cons
    • Not designed for kittens
    • Contains eggs and guar gum

    3. Pure Harmony Salmon and Brown Rice Recipe Dry Cat Food

Pure Harmony Salmon & Brown Rice Dry Cat Food

As a dry kibble that still contains a great deal of goodness, this is a great option. Unlike many inferior quality kibbles that have a carbohydrate as the first ingredient, this contains real deboned salmon. It also contains chicken meal, turkey meal, and chicken fat as animal protein sources.

This dry kibble also contains a blend of other ingredients designed to support your cat’s digestive and immune systems. These include carrots, peas, cranberries, and blueberries, as well as a blend of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. This dry kibble meets the AAFCO nutritional profiles for all life stages of cats, but the protein content is a little on the low side for kittens.

    Calorie Breakdown:

pure harmony salmon and brown rice

    Pros
    • Real salmon is the first ingredient
    • Contains 32% protein
    • Made in the U.S.A.
    • Contains ingredients from the U.S.A. and Canada
    Cons
    • Includes salmon flavor
    • Low protein content for kittens

    Conclusion

Pure Harmony cat foods use a blend of high-quality ingredients from the U.S.A. and Canada. Its products are manufactured in the U.S.A. and are available as wet canned food or dry kibble. With every recipe using real meat as the first ingredient, Pure Harmony’s a great choice if you’re looking for a brand that focuses on using a blend of wholesome ingredients, without any fillers or meat by-products.

Its recipes are also high in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, so you can be confident that your cat will thrive. While some recipes are approved by the AAFCO for all life stages, we probably wouldn’t feed them to young kittens, due to the lower protein percentage than we would like and the lack of nutrients like DHA and ARA.

But for adult cats, Pure Harmony is a solid choice of food, with a focus on high-quality ingredients.
