  • The 7 Best Cat Advent Calendars

    1. Fancy Feast Festivities Advent Calendar Cat Food – Best Overall

Fancy Feast Feastivities Advent Calendar Gourmet Wet Cat Food

    Days: 24
    Contents: Treats & food

The Fancy Feast Festivities Advent Calendar Cat Food contains 16 different Fancy Feast recipes in 3 oz. cans; two different broths, two flavors of their puree recipes, and two kinds of treats. If your feline loves to munch on wet food, this is the best cat advent calendar you can buy.

Each wet food recipe is made to be nutritionally complete and balanced for adult cats. Of course, it isn’t nutritionally complete for kittens, so we recommend waiting until your cat is an adult to have them enjoy it.

There are many different recipes included, so just about any cat should find something that they like.

    2. Larchio 12-Day Cat Advent Calendar – Best Value

    Larchio Cat Advent Calendar

    Days: 12
    Contents: Toys

If you’re looking for something a bit cheaper and toy-based, we recommend the Larchio Cat Advent Calendar. This calendar includes 12 days of toys and other surprises. The vast majority of the surprises are toys, but there are two bows included. Everything is made safely and with quality materials. There is even a cat teaser included with three different attachments.

Many customers reported that their cat loved most of the toys. They also held up well to the vast majority of cats. Plus, this calendar is far less expensive than other options out there. It’s suitable for cats of all ages, including kittens.

    3. Larchio 24-Day Cat Advent Calendar – Premium Choice

    Larchio 24-Day Cat Advent Calendar

    Days: 24
    Contents: Toys

The main difference between the Larchio 24-Day Cat Advent Calendar and the one above is the size. This calendar is twice the size of the other calendar we reviewed above. It also happens to be nearly double the price. Of course, if you want a calendar that goes through the whole month of December, this one is a great option.

It includes several types of toys, including a teaser with several attachments. There are vibrant, crinkly balls, several bell toys, and two bows for your feline to wear.

Many cat owners reported that their felines loved these toys. They’re all well-tested favorites, so any playful feline should have a blast.

    4. Trader Joe’s Advent Calendar for Cats

Trader Joe's Advent Calender for Cats

    Days: 24
    Contents: Treats

The Trader Joe’s Advent Calendar for Cats is a food-oriented calendar that includes several kinds of treats. It’s more expensive than most advent calendars for what you’re getting. However, the ingredients are almost exclusively Atlantic salmon, so you’re paying for the premium quality.

The treats are made without antibiotics and come individually wrapped in each calendar “door.” Each little door holds around five or six treats, making this suitable for multi-cat homes.

That said, some pickier cats may not find these treats very appetizing. While many did report their cats ate the treats, others found that their cats refused to even try them.

    5.  Midlee Cat Advent Calendar

Midlee Cat Advent Calendar - 12 Days of Christmas Filled Cat Toy Gift

    Days: 12
    Contents: Toys

Like many other advent calendars we’ve reviewed, the Midlee Cat Advent Calendar includes only toys. It holds 12 toys—enough to celebrate the 12 days of Christmas. These toys include an assortment of stuffed animals, mice, and balls. There is a ball with a bell, too, and one crinkly ball. Some of the stuffed toys include catnip.

The box this advent calendar comes in is very nice. You can potentially save it to use it again for next year, refilling it with different toys. While it is more expensive than other advent calendars, many cat owners found the high-quality box worth the price.

    6. How the Grinch Stole Christmas Cat Advent Box

    Dr. Seuss for Pets

    Days: 12
    Contents: Toys

The How the Grinch Stole Christmas Cat Advent Box is a fun calendar based on Dr. Seuss’s story. It includes 12 different toy surprises, including plush toys, teaser wands, and even feather balls. Many reported that their cat loved the toys, which is what’s really important, anyway.

This box is more expensive than most, largely because of the branding. However, many people found the cost plenty worth it given the quality of the toys provided.

    7. Merry Makings 12-Day Catnip Advent Calendar

Merry Makings 12-Day Catnip Advent Calendar

    Days: 12
    Contents: Toys

The Merry Makings 12-Day Catnip Advent Calendar is purely catnip-focused, making it stand out from other calendars we’ve reviewed. The box is pretty high-quality itself, and you could potentially reuse the box for several years, refilling it with toys each year.

On top of coming with catnip, this calendar also comes with catnip-scented toys, chews, and a spray. It’s much more than just 12 days of catnip sprinkled around your house!

Of course, this advent calendar is only suitable for cats that like catnip. Not all felines fall into this category. Therefore, we’d recommend figuring out your cat’s reaction to catnip before purchasing them a whole catnip-centered advent calendar.

Buyer’s Guide: Selecting the Best Cat Advent Calendars

There are several quality advent calendars out there that you can choose from. However, choosing between them can be somewhat challenging.

We recommend looking at what comes in each calendar and choosing which options your cat would like best. Some cats love to play and may do well with a toy-centered box. Others may enjoy a food-based option instead. Catnip advent calendars are also available for cats that love catnip.

By focusing on what your cat likes, you increase the odds of them liking the box as a whole.

    Conclusion

For most felines, we recommend the Fancy Feast Festivities Advent Calendar Cat Food. This calendar is high-quality and includes plenty of yummy food. For cats that love to eat, this advent calendar is a solid option.

For more playful felines, you may want to consider the Larchio 12-Day Cat Advent Calendar. This calendar is inexpensive and includes 12 days of toys for your feline to play with.

Consider what your cat likes when choosing an advent calendar. Not every calendar is suitable for every cat.
