Arrival Story:
I started out looking at the shelters for two female kittens. I had wanted females because my previous cat was female and she was so sweet and delicate. I came across these two adorable, tiny little kittens, one that had a smudge of dirt on her nose. Well, I had been told that these adorable tiny little females were a healthy 8 weeks old. Well, there were a couple of major misconceptions, much to my surprise. I found out after a trip to our vet that, not only were they both males, the were only about four to five weeks old. Surprise! They were already a part of my family, so we adjusted. It took a lot of work because they were so small that the runt, Blackie, needed to be fed separately, but it was all worth it. We only have a page for TJ because we lost our much-loved Blackie 6 years ago.

When I brought TJ home from the shelter it looked like he had a smudge of dirt on his nose. Well, it turned out not to be a smudge of dirt, it was a smudge of color on his nose. So much for cleaning off the dirt!
