Arrival Story:
I got her from a pet shop around Halloween 2002, just after my eighteenth birthday. I remember there being so many black kittens, all so cute and pretty, but she stood out from the rest. She stuck her little paw out through the cage as if to grab my attention. She persisted to do so until I had her undivided attention. She had this constant smile on her face, as if she was always happy. It made me smile at first, but then I realized where she was. Although not an entirely bad place, it was certainly short of what she deserved. The first moment I picked her up, I couldn’t help but laugh because she went a little crazy. I suppose she was not used to be handled. She would make this high pitched moan that was really comical. It seemed to me like she was trying to say; “put me down, but take me with you“, Our eyes met, and right then and there I knew I would claim her as my own. I suppose you could say it was love at first sight.
Yes, she was my princess and i'll never forget her.

She was nicknamed "My Shadow" because she would follow me everywhere. Thats the kind of relationship we had. When I was down and out. She knew I was sad she would come right over to console me. She was my best friend and I miss her dearly.

Hey Jas,
I just wanted to tell you that I miss you dearly. I hope your ok, with all the other fully critters in Rainbow Bridge. Christmas, used to be one of your favorite Holidays of the year, because that was when you get all your presents. Remember the time you were so excited to see me that you ran around and jumped into the Christmas tree! That was so funny. All our memories we shared together will last with me forever, I'll never forget you. You were my princess, now you’re my angel...

Life just hasnt been the same without you. Its a sad and lonely world without you in it. I try to keep my spirits up and pretend everything is ok, but deep down its not... I miss you dearly and sometimes its hard to cope with the pain. (I just cant get over the fact that your gone)....

Today I was thinking about you as always and cried as I usually do when I think of you. It hurts so much to know that your not here with me .
It's so unreal how one day your here and the next your not...Sometimes I think to myself that Im still in complete in utter shock....other days I know im not and that its for real...but regardless if your here with me or not....
