Tis Good to Be a Princess

Well Tigger spoke about most of our happenings this summer. I can report that I am eating almost a 3oz can of wet food everyday. I used ot only eat 1/4 tsp, so that is very good. Mom says she notices a difference in me too, I am playing alot more it seems. I tolerate the boys pretty much, and I did even sneak up on Smitty & trounced him from behind, then took off! Mom laughed so hard at the look on Smithwick's face, she almost fell over herself. AHA! take that silly boy-cat. There was the dreaded water in the basement, and I had to even come down there to use the potty-box. eww twas not to my liking. So now we have to get everything put back to gether before Thanksgiving, as we always hold what is now called Turkapalooza. The Dad has a large family, and Mom & The Dad have a few "adopted" children that also come by, so we have 5 yes 5 turkeys. Last year it totalled to 70lbs of gobbler. We have one biggie baked, 2 deep fried & 2 smoked. The nice thing is that there is always enough for anyone to take leftyovers. Our number will be down this year, as some family won't be here. But Turkapalooza prevails. Mom was joking to the Dad that we if all else fails we will bake a turkey breast, smoke the legs & fry the wings!
I have enjoyed sunning myself on the screened porch all summer. Mom says I need to go to the vet for a checkup - I am past due. Not happy bout that, but I guess it is better to make sure you are ok. Mom took a bunch of pics all summer, so she will have to get her rear in gear & get them on here. I am tired of seeing the same pics on my page mom!!! peace to all! purrs, Maizy

It's actually kinda almost getting coolish here in the mornings!

That's a lot of turkeys! I'd ask if we could come, but Cali has been accused of stealing a turkey before,so she might take them all!!

Oohhh be careful with frying turkeys! I saw something on TV where a turkey made flames go up really high. Daddy's dad smokes a turkey for the family and we get the bones for broth. We're glad you're eating better and gave Smitty a taste of his own medicine. That was sweet.

Mmmmm, that Turkapalooza sounds goood! Mom loves deep fried turkey - her dad has made it a few times. Smoked turkey sounds yummy too! Do you kitties get any turkey snacks with all those turkeys around?

Lena thank you for the concern regarding frying turkeys. We have been doing that for years, and the Dad is very careful. He has a hinged door that gets put around it to block any wind, and since we are in the fire protection business, we always have extinguishers around for safety. We have seen the bad things that can happen if one is not careful also. and yes we all get some plain turkey! although I myslef would prefer cake.....
