Arrival Story:
Tigerpaw was rescued by a cat-loving lady from her void deck when he was just one month old. Unable to keep him because of the fact that she already had three cats and no helper, she put the kit up for adoption on the Cat Welfare Society adoption board. At that point in time, I was looking for a cat. More specifically, a kit, so that it could adapt to living with my dog Furby. Preferring to adopt rather than buy a kit, I checked the CWS website regularly for weeks without managing to find the perfect kit. Finally, one day, I found the picture of Tigerpaw, then called Tiger Tot. My mother and I arranged a trip to his foster's house to see him. It was love at first sight. We named the fluffy ginger kitten Tigerkit and brought him home in a bundle of towels. At that stage, TIgerkit was so small that he could fit onto my hands. Five months later, Tigerkit has his apprentice ceremony and was given the apprentice name of Tigerpaw, until the day when he becomes a warrior. Another month passed and now the once-tiny Tigerpaw has to be carried with both hands. At heart, though, he's still just a tiny kit, nipping, rolling and playing with anyone he can persuade to join him at playime. And I hope he'll never change.

Hello everyone, my name is Tigerpaw. I'm seven months old and I live in a big house with lots of garden to play in!

Do you read Erin Hunter's "Warriors" series? My owner does, that's why I have a Clan name. Even though she says I'm a kittypet.

I love to climb stuff and play and I also love snuggling up to people! My housefolk have a dog that I bully all the time and a guinea-pig called Conor who is my best friend. Conor is older than me - he used to be the same size as me when I was a kit - but now I'm a lot bigger than him and I can carry him on my back. Conor loves to swim, I can't understand why. At first I thought that it was a guinea-pig thing, but when I saw visitors' reactions when they saw my owner swimming with Conor, I decided that couldn't be it.

When I was a wh0le lot smaller, Conor and I used to squeeze in together into my owner's bicycle basket for rides. We really enjoyed the breeze blowing our whiskers whilst we sped down the road.

Anyway, now my owner says I'm too fat to fit in the basket, but I still run alongside her when she brings out Conor or the dog. It's fun! My owner also says that I am a show-off. I suppose I do start to show off a little in front of people, but that's natural, isn't it? Who wouldn't want a bit of praise?

But I was really offended the time I was a tiny kit and I was running on the rim of a big jar in the garden (Owner's note: showing off) in front of all these visitors, then suddenly I spotted a butterfly. I guess I forgot that I was on the jar - that's how good my balance is - (Owner's note: showing off AGAIN) and I reached out for the butterfly... and fell off the jar. I landed with a huge THUMP on the grass, but what hurt more was my sense of pride. Everybody laughed at me!

Well, now I'm a bit wiser and I don't show off so much. But I still like to be admired!

So why don't you drop by and give me a treat of two?
