indoors Arrival Story: I became Huey's mom in February of 2004 while we were living in Orlando, Florida. He was rescued from the ASPCA in Orlando. He was one of a litter of kittens who had contracted panleukemia. His daddy picked him out and I just loved his color (which is how he got his nickname "Hoo Hoo" because he looks like an owl). He was much lighter then and had more "chocolate point" features than he does as an adult. He was a very playful kitten and battled five hurricanes with us during the hurricane season of 2005! Our little Ari is a recent addition to our family. I became his mommy by chance. I was driving back to work on my lunch hour and noticed a sign in a yard that said free kittens. He was handed to me and I was told he was a female. Which was what we were looking for as a companion for Huey. We originally named him Hailey. Our vet then told us that Hailey was a "he!" We named him in a few days after getting to know him. He's a fiesty one! So we named him Ari Gold off of the show Entourage on HBO after one of the characters! His nickname "biscuit" was given to him by my brother who thinks he's so cute that he could be eaten like a biscuit! He now keeps Huey in line!
