Hi kids (I love to say hi kid)
This is my first entry for this year 2008. Well the news are my 1/2 sisfur Margaret left us on May 2007; as you know Margaret and I were indoor-outdoor kitties, although we're former ferals we didn't stray and stayed close to the house. Margaret was much bolder than I so she'd be gone for a couple of days, that later on turned into a week, then a week and some days, then she dissapeared completly. Meowmy was very sad and so was our Pawpa, they knew that it could happen but it is the same old story, never do something until the dreaded thing happens. They put up posters, notified clinics and shelters but no, nobody's seen Margaret.
Once when they're on the highway Meowmy thought she saw a kitty lying by the road that looked like her but later on she searched that spot and the kitty was gone. Either it was Margaret trying to tell her that's what happened to her or it was gone by another reason.
I stayed most of the time on their porch and they brought me in. Now I spend nights and some times during the day in a room dowsntairs all by myself. During the day Meowmy carries me upstairs where I stay until 11 am then back to my room until after 12ish and upstairs again until dinner time which is around 5 oclock. After dinner I get to go upstairs again unless I'm taking a nap, if I'm sleeping I go upstairs when I wake up and stay there until 9 pm or later.
Then back to my room to wait for my nightly treat (no I'm not putting on weight) and then Meowmy comes in, pick up my plate, changes my litterbox and tucks me in for the night..phew! Upstairs, downstairs indeed!
They swicht other kitties around because there's one I don't get along with at all and he's FIV+..if we fight I could get infected. I miss my sweet sis but life is good otherwise.
The other new is that we're 10 kitties total now (6 residents and four fosters); I'll tell you more about it next time. And that Meowmy decided to form (by herself) a private rescue 'Homeless No More Cat Rescue'
