I guess you can say this is my first snow. Last December I was still a little guy a couple months old. I don't remember seeing snow.

When Mommy came home from shopping and taking care of her car, it was snowing. When she came in, she closed the outer door and let me peak outside. It was white and very cold.

I'm glad I didn't fly out the door like I did a few days ago. Mommy's also glad I didn't pull another great escape.

Lastly, Merl, Bail and I played a little game of milk jug ring hockey. I was batting it all around the dining room floor. Bail sprung on me a few times. Also, I kicked the ring toward Merl and it landed at his feet. That's when I stopped playing. I didn't feel like him bopping me on the head as I tried to reach for the ring.

Well, that's about it. I'm tired and feel a nappy coming on.

I've been in the house since September 28th and decided to pull a great escape out the front door.

I figured that would be the easiest way to pull my escape as it's dark when Mommy comes home from work. When she entered the house with an arm load of grocery bags, it was hard for her to stop me as I had already run out the door and onto the front porch.

She put the groceries on the floor and called to me. I turned my backside to her and ran down the steps and toward the azalea bushes.

When she came outside, I was sniffing the bushes. She walked up to me and held an open can of salmon Fancy Feast under my nose.

Wellllll . . . . that ended my outdoor adventure . . . . the smell of salmon overtook me . . . I BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPED . . .

Mommy said, "if you want to eat you got to come back in."

"Okay, okay, okay, you sold me," I said and followed her back into the house.

I'm glad I came back in too as I would've have missed out on the chicken pawty that came after I had finished eating the "lure".

All in all, I don't think she was too happy about my sneaking outside. I don't think she's going to bring in all her groceries at once again after my trick.

Anyway, I'm all sated with a full belly. I had a little exercise afterward and now it's nappy time.

Later, my friends.

During the photo shoot on Sunday morning, I made a really strange face. It's on my page which is captioned: "OMC! I think he's in our house!" Something like that.

I was yawning when Mommy snapped the pic too late.

Oh well, she got me showing my upper and lower fangs along with my tongue. It's a little blurry, but she wanted to post it anyway.

Well, that's about it for now. I'm tired too!

The title just about says it all! Catmas collars with jingle bells on them . . . one made of fake purple fur and velvet . . . another of cotton with the words, "ho-ho" written all over it . . . they're very frightening when put on . . .

Mommy first put the ho-ho jingle collar on me and I rolled around on the bed thinking that would dislodge the stupid thing from my neck. Nope. Mommy took it off. She then put the purple one on me. I immediatly took off from the bed shaking my head in all directions thinking I could remove the nightmarish thing from me! No luck!

I pulled at it with my mouth and popped the elastic band inside it. All of a sudden it got big enough to put around Merl's neck and that's where it ended up next.

He also ran around like a nut. Yep! Merl and I do have something in common and it took me until now to find this one out. WE BOTH GET FREAKED OUT BY JINGLE BELL COLLARS!!

The collar next was put on Bail, and he didn't spaz out like Merl and I did.

Before the collar nightmare, Mommy put these nutty-looking antlers and a Santa hat on me. I didn't want any part of that. I shook my head and the things slid off.

Later on Mommy put on a nice blue fleece snow flake and pawprint bandana on me and took some pics. That I didn't mind. I'm a bandana boy.

Mommy's going to have to bribe me with a lot of turkey (yes I had some and LOVE IT!) before she can get a picture of me wearing any of those jingle bell collars.

Well, that's about it from me for now. I understand it's going to be another leftover turkey night. Today should be the last of it.

Have a pawsome weekend, my Catster friends.

There was a knock at the door around 12 noon yesterday. Mommy opened it and in walked a tall, human man! I've never seen a man in Mommy's house, and the only man I've seen before that was the vet!

I got scared and was running around in circles in the kitchen. I jumped onto the counter, into the big chair, back onto the counter, and onto Bail's foot stool and continued my route many, many times.

The man spoke to me and said, 'HI, KITTY," in a deep, scary voice. I continued to run around in the kitchen, and then Mommy managed to pick me up to comfort me. She carried me into the dining room where the man could get a closer look at me.

I kicked Mommy and wriggled out of her arms and hid under the dining room table. She said, "Landy, this is Rob and he's not going to eat you for Thanksgiving dinner."

I didn't find that very comforting at all. I ran into the living room and did a "duck & hide" under the big burgundy couch. I stayed there for quite a long time.

Meanwhile, they both went upstairs for a while.

I understand that Sampy was really friendly and not scared at all as he knew "Daddy Rob" and also remembered that he always gave him catnip treats. Merl was scared, and Bail was semi-scared. Cammie Rose, wasn't scared either.

Then they came back downstairs, and were soon off to his friend's place to have Thanksgiving dinner.

They came back around 10:00 p.m. last night and I was laying on the little chair. This time I wasn't as scared as earlier. It could be that I got a good whiff of something that was in a bag they carried in.

I believe that was the stuff called "turkey". Now I understand from Bail that Mommy will let us have a taste of some tonight.

Got to go now and let Mommy get ready for her last day of work for this week. It's Friday!

I'm tagging myself for the "I'm thankful" list:

1. I'm thankful that my new mommy took me in from the outdoors;
2. I'm thankful that I have such wonderful Mommy and brothers
and sister;
3. I'm thankful for all my wonderful Catster friends;
4. I'm thankful for all the yummy food I get to eat; and
5. I'm thankful for the nice warm beds I get to sleep in.

I wish all my friends and their families a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

This is my first Thanksgiving and I'll get to eat, for the first time, some TURKEY. Mommy's going to have Thanksgiving dinner with some friends and possibly will bring home some leftover turkey.

I'll tell you, I can't wait.

Well, tomorrow is MY first Thanksgiving ever! I'm really excited about this stuff called "turkey".

Oh, I've had the cat food version of it and that's not too bad. I understand the "real" turkey is the bestest ever!

Mommy's not going to cook a turkey for just herself. She cooked one a long time ago and hasn't done it since. She told me that the one she cooked was so leathery that the Washington Redskins could have used it in one of their games!

She's been invited to spend Thanksgiving day with some good friends. Purrhaps she'll bring back some leftovers!

Anyway, I wish all my Catster friends a very safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Just say "no" to loose catnip! Mommy gave Sampy and Merl some loose green stuff called "catnip" this morning. They went wild, especially Sampy. He bit Mommy's hand just to get the stuff from her. Then he struck at me a couple times.

Afterward, she took a little pinch of the stuff and held it under my nose so I could sniff it. One sniff of the stuff freaked me out. I wasn't ready for this at all! I breeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeped really loud and ran down the stairs. I was saying, "just say no to loose catnip".

No thank you, Mommy. I'll stick to the catnip in my toys and mousies. I get turned on enough that way. Loose catnip is toooooooo strong for me!

I have to get my head back together after that adventure. It really spaced me too far out. I don't like getting that "blown away".

Anyway, it's another Monday. All of us have to deal with Mommy being gone for eight hours each day for another four days!

Well, I must go now. Purrs to everycat.

Early this morning Mommy put me into the carrier and into the car. She started the thing up, backed out of the driveway, and we were off.
VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! I asked her if the thing had a jet engine in it 'cause she went so fast.

She turned on the radio and mewsic from a group called, "Led Zeppelin" was playing. I tried to meow along with it. "If mountains crumble to the sea, there'll still be you and me. Kind woman . . . "

Anyway, when I finally got to the vet, I was weighed in at 11.40 lbs! WOWZA! I'm a big boy now! All that food I pack away, no wonder! Do you know that I'm about the same size as Bail who weighs 11.70! He looks much bigger because he's 75% hair!!

I was then taken into another room wherein Mommy let me out of the carrier. I came out with no problem and was purring. I stood on the stainless steel table and walked around as if I was on the table at home. Soon thereafter, the doctor came in. He was a nice young man, and I let him listen to my heart and look into my ears.

The worst part was the shot, of course. I flinched when that was first injected into me. I was still a good boy and didn't holler or hiss or bite.

Lastly, while Mommy was paying for my visit, a big white cat with a black tail and spot on his side came up to my carrier. We sniffed noses through the holes in my carrier. He told me his name was Buster and he lived at the hospital. He is the "resident" cat. I told him that I was glad to meet him. All-in-all, he was very nice. We didn't hiss or yowl at each other.

Mommy brought me home and she went shopping. She was gone for about five hours.

Now here I am. I'm getting hungry and will be eating more. My goal is to reach an even 12 lbs!

I don't think Oriental's get much bigger than that unless the other part of me is a BIG breed kitty!

Well, I got to go now. Bail wants to write something.

Purrs and Breeps to all,

I have to go to the vet tomorrow for my last shot for the year.

BUMMER! I don't like riding in the car either. I meow during the whole 20 minute trip.

At least I get to find out how much I weigh. Mommy thinks I've gained another pound.

Also, it's very cold and will be that way all weekend long. It looks like it's going to be another four cat night on the big bed.

Well, that's about it from me. Goodnight, my friends,
